The Newest Chef To Join The “24 In 24” Lineup
GettyChef Molly Yeh will be joining the talented cast of “24 In 24.” Yeh is host of Food Network’s “Girl Meets Farm.”
The Juilliard trained percissionist was nominated for an Emmy for her “Girl Meets Farm” hosting duties in 2019. She posted on Instagram saying she was “completely verklempt” to be nominated.
She is also author to three books, “Home Is Where The Eggs Are,” “Sweet Farm!” and “Molly On The Range.” Her blog, “My Name is Yeh,” was Saveur’s Blog of the Year in 2015, according to Yeh’s website.
Yeh has earned some serious respect in the culinary world after her James Beard Award nomination. In 2019, she earned a nod for Outstanding Personality, as noted on the James Beard Award site.
She joins an impressive cast, including chefs such as Robyn Almodovor, Brian Malarkey, Dawn Burrell, Lee Ann Wong, and Shota Nakajima, reported Variety.
Season 3 Of “24 In 24” Will Feature “Endless Surprises”
Food Network has deemed “24 In 24: Last Chef Standing” as “the most intense cooking competition ever devised.”
The network has also promised some new twists during the season, claiming “this season is completely different from previous ones.”
“From picking which challenge they do to a completely new way of judging, this competition will test the chefs in unexpected and devious ways,” they claimed.
Chefs Esther Choi and Michael Symon will be returning as hosts, joined in the first episode by guest judge Jet Tila. In the May 31 finale, competitors will have to impress Tila and guest judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Betsy Ayala, head of food content for Warner Bros. Discovery, said the show captures what it means to be a chef.
“Life as a chef means giving your mind, body and soul to your craft 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and this competition really captures that level of intensity and unpredictability,” she said in a statement released by Warner Bros. Discovery.
“This season we’ve added blind judging, reimagined shift themes and endless surprises that will leave our audience on the edge of their seats.”
The winner will walk away with $100,000, which Variety reports is the largest prize amount in the show’s history.
“24 In 24: Last Chef Standing” will premiere on Food Network on Sunday, April 26.
