‘The Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond’s Best Super Bowl Recipes Fans Can Make at Home

Ree Drummond is helping fans get ready for Super Bowl Sunday with a lineup of crowd-pleasing recipes perfect for game day. The Food Network star and blogger behind The Pioneer Woman says football has always been part of her family life, especially during the years when her sons, Bryce and Todd, played high school football in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

“Friday night football. College football. NFL football. Fantasy football… have I mentioned that we’re a football family?” Drummond shared on her website.

With Super Bowl LX set for Sunday, February 8, Drummond rounded up her family’s favorite snacks, offering easy options designed to feed a crowd from kickoff through overtime.

Ree Drummond Shares Classic Super Bowl Appetizers

Drummond’s game day spread starts with familiar favorites. Buffalo wings top the list, and she recommends prepping them the day before.

“Make them Saturday! After you get ’em all done, throw ’em in a baking pan and cover with foil. Keep it in the fridge, then just pop it in the oven the next day to warm ’em up,” she said.

Her spinach artichoke dip includes four types of cheese and is another go-to.

“Every time I make this baked-in-the-oven dip, I close my eyes and sigh over how delicious it is,” Drummond shared, adding that making it ahead saves time on game day.

Frito chili pie also makes the cut, combining crunchy chips, chili, and melted cheese. Drummond said it reminds her of football games and was a favorite among her sons and their teammates.

Fan Favorites Include Jalapeños, Nachos, and Totchos

One of Drummond’s most popular snacks is her bacon-wrapped jalapeño “thingies,” a family recipe introduced by her sister-in-law, Missy.

“Cook ’em. Pop ’em in your mouth. Sing praises. Faint. They’re absolutely addictive,” Drummond said.

Her cowboy nachos feature beef brisket and pinto beans, making them hearty enough to serve as a main dish. She also offers queso totchos, made with crispy tater tots topped with queso, jalapeños, olives, pickled red onions, and cilantro.

“These ‘totchos’ are a little crazy… and crazy good!” she said.

For fans who like heat, Drummond’s guacamole includes jalapeños and chipotle peppers in adobo for an extra kick.

‘The Pioneer Woman’s’ Build-Your-Own Bars Bring Everyone Together

Drummond also suggests interactive options, such as a steak-and-shrimp taco bar, allowing guests to customize their plates with surf-and-turf fillings and classic toppings.

Another crowd-pleaser is her potato skins bar, where baked potato halves are loaded with toppings of each guest’s choice.

“I think appetizers are my favorite food group,” Drummond joked.

Sweet Treats Finish Off Ree Drummond’s Game Day Menu

Dessert options include chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches made with store-bought vanilla ice cream and salted pretzel brownies topped with crunchy pretzels for a sweet-and-salty finish.

Whether hosting a party or watching with family, Drummond says preparing a variety of finger foods keeps everyone satisfied throughout the game.

The Seattle Seahawks face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, airing on NBC.
