Ree Drummond has got retirement in her sights — but fans of “The Pioneer Woman” shouldn’t panic just yet. The Food Network star shared that she has an end game for her cookbooks. Find out how many more she plans to release before calling it quits.
Ree Drummond Shares That She’s About Done Writing Cookbooks
In a September 2025 interview with People, Drummond discussed her latest cookbook, “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The Essential Recipes,” out October 28.
She revealed that the cookbook was initially meant to be her last, but she’s not done writing cookbooks just yet. According to “The Pioneer Woman” star, her 10th cookbook will “definitely” be her last.
“This is my ninth cookbook, and I had decided at a certain point that this would be my final cookbook,” she explained. “I know that sounds sad and crazy, but I feel that I’ve kind of told the stories I want to tell with food, and I’m just going to keep making my favorite things.”
Drummond added, “There’s been a development, and I will actually have a 10th cookbook, but that will definitely be my last.”
For now, fans can look forward to her “Essential Recipes,” which she calls a collection of her “greatest hits.”
“I really started examining what I was cooking day in and day out, week in and week out. And even though I would make new things and try new things, I just always kept going back to my go-to classics,” Drummond shared.
She explained that she made some tweaks to the recipes over the years. “I hadn’t ever really gone back to update the original recipes, so I thought, ‘Gosh, why don’t I just tackle all of my essential recipes, which is how I consider these, but incorporate all of these improvements?'”
Drummond added, “Some of them are small but meaningful tweaks and others are a little bit more considerable.”
Drummond Has a New Clothing Line, ‘Ree by The Pioneer Woman’
Her new cookbook isn’t the only big thing going on for Drummond. She also announced the launch of a QVC clothing collection called Ree by The Pioneer Woman.
On September 18, Drummond took to social media to give a peek at her clothing collection.
“Ree + QVC 😊👖💃🏼 Introducing ‘Ree by The Pioneer Woman’ — a new easy, elevated clothing collection that perfectly reflects my casual life! Dazzling denim, oversized chore jackets, dreamy dresses, and wonderfully wearable sweaters and tops,” she wrote in the caption.
Drummond added, “The quality is amazing, the details are 😍, and I’m so excited about this new partnership. Paige and I are heading to ‘The Q’ this Sunday and Monday, where I get to wear and talk about the details of each piece. See you then, friends!”
