Rebecca Gayheart Reshares Heartbreaking Message to Eric Dane
“I’ve seen you in my dreams so many nights since you left us,” Gayheart shared via her Instagram Story over a photo of the “Euphoria” star on Tuesday, March 31. The message was first shared by musician Justin Warfield.
“Of all the friends who passed, this have never happened before,” she continued. “Sometimes I ask what you’re doing here, as I’m aware you’re no longer with us. Others, I think I must have been mistaken, and celebrate the moment I get with you. And the last time, I became aware I was dreaming and tried my best not to wake up, as you wondered why I was sad. I love you dearly and miss you deeply.”
The “Jawbreaker” star has been open about the devastating loss, previously sharing how grateful she was for the support.
“I am so blown away by the outpouring of love and support from our community. There aren’t words to express our gratitude. You are truly holding us up during this difficult time,” she shared shortly after Dane’s passing.

“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” the family announced via Instagram at the time. “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, Rebecca, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.”
The statement continued, “He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received.”
A GoFundMe launched in his honor, as a way to raise funds for his two teenage daughters, which raised nearly $500,000.
Prior to his death, Dane recorded a touching message to his daughters, Billie and Georgia.
“Billie and Georgia, these words are for you,” Dane said in an interview for Netflix’s series “Famous Last Words.” “I tried. I stumbled sometimes, but I tried. Overall, we had a blast, didn’t we?”
