‘Jersey Shore’ Could Continue After MTV Finale With New Network and Surprising Cast Shake-Up

“Jersey Shore” may not be coming to a complete end when “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” takes its final bow on MTV.

A source told Bravo and Cocktails that E! is in early discussions about creating a new show featuring several members of the longtime “Jersey Shore” cast alongside some new faces.

According to the source, E! is interested in continuing to pick up talent from shows ending on other networks. The source claimed that if the network sees strong ratings from “The Golden Life,” “Jersey Shore” could be the next established reality franchise it looks to rework.

The potential project would not simply recreate “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.” Instead, the source said the show would feature a different concept and a modified cast.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren Sorrentino would reportedly be part of the main group alongside Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Deena Cortese.

‘Jersey Shore’ New Show Could Add 3 Surprising Cast Members

The potential series could also bring three new women into the “Jersey Shore” world.

The source named Kayla Giovinazzo, Lauren D’Amelio and Danielle Cabral as possible additions.

Giovinazzo previously appeared as a guest on season 13 of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” D’Amelio is a makeup artist who has reportedly tested for “RHONJ” in the past.

Cabral would bring an especially interesting connection to the original “Jersey Shore.”

Before becoming an “RHONJ” cast member, Cabral appeared on MTV’s “True Life.” According to the Bravo and Cocktails source, Cabral was nearly cast on the original “Jersey Shore,” but producers ultimately selected Cortese instead.

The source said all three women already spend time with members of the “Jersey Shore” cast and are particularly close with Mike, Lauren and JWoww.

The potential newcomers also have another thing in common: They live in Central Jersey.

According to the source, their location previously made them more difficult fits for “RHONJ,” which has traditionally centered on North Jersey.

Vinny Guadagnino and Pauly D Could Have Smaller Roles

Not every longtime star would reportedly return as a main cast member.

The source said Vinny Guadagnino, DJ Pauly D and Angelina Pivarnick could make guest appearances but aren’t currently expected to be part of the main group because they don’t fit the proposed concept as closely.

Additional new cast members could also join the potential project.

E! has not officially announced a new “Jersey Shore” series, and the source described discussions as being in the early stages.

‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ Is Ending After Nearly 300 Episodes

MTV announced in March that “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” would conclude with 18 final episodes beginning May 7.

Pivarnick, Cortese, Pauly D, Farley, Sorrentino, Polizzi, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Giancola and Guadagnino all returned for the farewell.

The original series premiered in 2009 and turned its cast into reality TV fixtures. Across the original show and its follow-ups, viewers watched the cast navigate relationships, marriages, children, career changes and other major milestones.

The larger “Jersey Shore” universe has now spanned nearly 300 episodes and multiple spinoffs.

MTV described the final “Family Vacation” run as a “last hurrah for a cultural icon,” with the farewell featuring weddings, birthdays, baby showers and other milestones.
