Beloved “Hannah Swensen” star Barbara Niven celebrated the franchise’s latest movie success by sharing some major news and a message to fans. Niven plays Hannah’s (Alison Sweeney) mom, Delores, in the movie series. Following the release of the latest movie, Niven had a lot to say to the fans.
Barbara Niven Sends Message To Hannah Swensen Fans to Share Major News
“Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” is the newest movie to be released in the “Hannah Swensen” franchise. Niven used social media to give a major shout-out to fans for their constant support for the series and desire to keep seeing more Hannah Swensen films. She used an adorable picture of her and her dog to share her message.
“Chloe and I want to say a huge thank you for your incredible support of our newest #HannahSwensen movie #SugarandVice. I’m sitting here in my rocker on my porch right now, and reading and replying to your comments. Thank you for taking the time to write, your feedback is important. As much as we love the process of acting and creating these movies, it is never complete until we share it with you. That’s what makes it a perfect circle. We never take it for granted either,” she wrote.
Niven explained that the only way the franchise keeps getting made is because of the fans and also Hallmark. The actress made sure to mention the network’s support for continuing to air “Hannah Swensen” movies, while also confirming major news for fans.
“Thank you Hallmark Channel for supporting us through 11 years and 13 movies so far. We just completed another one last week, so there will be one more Hannah Swensen in 2026,” the actress expressed.
The Next Movie in the Hannah Swensen Franchise
In January, reports began circling that casting was underway for the next “Hannah Swensen” movie. “Kitchen Expert: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” has been revealed as the next title in the series based on the books of the same name.
Along with Niven and Sweeny, Victor Webster (Chad), Gabriel Hogan (Norman), and Tess Atkins (Michelle) will appear in “Kitchen Expert: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.”
Since “Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” was just released on Hallmark on March 7, fans will be waiting a while for the “Kitchen Expert: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.” Hallmark hasn’t announced an official date, but it likely won’t be until this summer or maybe even this fall to spread out the movies.
