When Benjamin Ayres isn’t working hard on a new Hallmark production, he might be spending time hanging out with a few of his famous friends. That’s just what he recently did when he was out on the town and posed for a pic with none other than music industry icon Drake and “Twilight” star Peter Facinelli, as well as actor Dax Ravina.
Ayres Posed with Fellow Canadian Drake While in Toronto
On Saturday, April 25, Ayres took to Instagram to share a photo of himself during a night out in Toronto. Wearing a denim shirt as well as a black baseball cap while flashing a smile at the camera, he definitely looked like he was enjoying himself.
Of course, you can’t ignore the fact that Ayres happened to be hanging out with Drake — who has been creating a buzz with his new music release icy antics, per TMZ — as well as Facinelli and Ravina. In the caption, he wrote, “Night out with the boys. @peterfacinelli @therealravina @champagnepapi”
The pic sparked quite a few comments from Ayres’ followers, with one person writing, “Fun, hope you enjoyed, I do see a bit of trouble with the 4 of you guys, 🤣”
“Carlisle Cullen ❤️ Looks like a fun night,” another fan added, referring to Facinelli’s role in “Twilight.”
A third social media user wrote, “I see my dude @therealravina there, looks like you guys had a great night @benjaminayres!”
“DRAKE MY GOATT,” came from another follower.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “Toronto boyz…Hawt 🔥🔥🔥🔥”
Even fellow Hallmark star Cameron Mathison popped in a message, writing, “That’s a fun night out 👊🏼”
Ayres, Drake, Facinelli & Ravina Were at a Celebrity Hotspot
If you’re familiar with Toronto, then it may be obvious to you that Ayres and his famous friends were spending time at Sotto Sotto.
First opening in 1993, the restaurant became a celebrated part of the Toronto dining scene. Indeed, back in the day, “[a]s the nights became busier, Sotto Sotto was developing a wonderful reputation … through word of mouth from its growing clientele,” according to Sotto Sotto’s website. “As such, many of the hotels within the downtown core felt confident in recommending Sotto Sotto to their guests.”
“Reservations from the hotels for their guests became a nightly occurrence. This combination greatly contributed to Sotto Sotto becoming THE place to go, especially during the Toronto International Film Festival [TIFF],” the website continues. “During this time, we welcomed a full array of customers: regulars, first timers, celebrities and many others involved in the film industry.”
Nowadays, “[f]ew restaurants rival Sotto Sotto’s TIFF legacy,” Sharp Magazine explains. “Stars including Johnny Depp, Oprah Winfrey, Brooke Shields, and Drake have dined in its candlelit rooms, making it synonymous with festival glamour.”
“Known for its Roman-inspired menu, the restaurant offers both intimacy and spectacle, with paparazzi often stationed out front,” Sharp notes. “Celebrities love the warmth and familiarity here, turning it into a yearly pilgrimage. Its longstanding reputation makes it one of Toronto’s most beloved celeb dining rooms during TIFF, attracting A-listers for late-night pasta and wine after hectic days on the red carpet.”
