“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” star Kristin Booth shared a photo in her Stories, too, and simply wrote, “Heartbroken,” while “Providence Falls” star Katie Stevens wrote that she was “devastated.”
Actor Marcus Rosner, who runs a movie production company in Alberta, Canada, shared a photo in his Stories of O’Hara in “Home Alone” and wrote, “My god that sucks. You were America’s Mum and the best part was that you were Canadian.”
“Hearts Around the Table” star Ashley Newbrough posted a clip of O’Hara in “Schitt’s Creek” and a photo of the actress in her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Devastated to hear that we lost this icon 💔”

Brooke Shields Loved That Catherine O’Hara Impersonated Her
“When Calls The Heart” and “Flower Shop Mysteries” star Brooke Shields shared a throwback clip of O’Hara impersonating her on “SCTV” — a sketch comedy show O’Hara was a castmember on in the late 70s. During an appearance in 1984, O’Hara played the actress and model on a spoof talk show called “The Brooke Shields Show.”
“What an honor it was to be spoofed by Catherine O’Hara,” Shields captioned her post. “What an unfathomable loss. We love you, Catherine. Comedy won’t be the same without her. Sending love to Catherine’s family, friends, castmates, and fans today. Truly beloved.”
Ryan McPartlin Says Catherine O’Hara Was ‘Everything You Hope a Legend Will Be’
Getty“Double Scoop” star Ryan McPartlin paid tribute to O’Hara, too, posting photos of them together on the set of their 2013 movie “The Right Kind of Wrong,” which he said they filmed right after he wrapped the final season of “Chuck.”
He wrote of O’Hara, “She was everything you hope a legend will be…genuine, generous with her time, and unbelievably kind.”
“Standing on set with her,” he continued, “I felt like that kid from Chicago again, watching Beetlejuice, Home Alone, A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, and Waiting for Guffman…never imagining I’d one day be on set working with her. It wasn’t lost on me for a second what an honor that was.”
McPartlin concluded by sharing, “What a talent. What a person. What a legacy! When you meet your heroes, you hope they’ll be like Catherine!
