Real-life Hallmark couple John Reardon and Meghan Ory have been through a lot together, including raising three kids together, leaving Los Angeles after two decades, and bravely navigating Reardon’s 2024 battle with tonsil cancer. Amid their personal ups and downs, they continue to be each other’s biggest cheerleaders professionally.
Reardon proved that again on September 4, 2025, with a beautiful social media tribute to Ory ahead of her just-announced Hallmark Christmas movie with Benjamin Ayres, “A Christmas Angel Match.” Posting a promo photo for the movie, Reardon warned fans that he was “gonna gush” about his wife of 17 years.
Reardon did, indeed, gush, “I’m so blown away by this beautiful person @officialmeghanory 🫶🏻 it’s officially been announced that Meghan’s movie ‘A Christmas Angel Match’ will be coming to @hallmarkchannel this holiday season 🎄 Not only is Meghan starring and executive producing but she also wrote the script!”
“Meghan,” he continued, “I have no idea how you navigate all the challenges of life, motherhood, your artistic career and still manage to move mountains. You are a lightning bolt ⚡️ and yes that is a #harrypotter reference”

Reardon, who saw a sneak preview of the 2025 movie, called it “brilliant, charming, fun, warm, clever, original and full of a great team behind it including (but with no intention of leaving anyone out) the fabulous director @christiewillwolf – rockstar-styles leading man @benjaminayres – and my brother from another mother @davidkeefehfx executive producing! Touched by the tribute, Ory responded in the comments, “Awwww tear jerker you. Thanks for your endless and constant support. And for watching the babies so I could go do this. #dreamhubby”
She wasn’t the only one to get emotional. Many fans were equally touched by Reardon’s words, including one who wrote, “Oh my goodness, I shed a tear over your love and support of your wife! This is what I love to see on social media! ❤️”

In the movie, Ory and Ayres will play angels Monica and Michael, who are tasked with bringing soulmates together, per People. He chimed in on Reardon’s post too, writing, “What a guy! 💪”
Meghan Ory’s New Movie Was Her 1st Filmed Away From John Reardon & Their Kids
Filming “A Christmas Angel Match” was a big deal for Ory, who shared on social media in May that “for the first time ever,” she was leaving her husband, months after he got the all-clear from his cancer doctors following his battle with tonsil cancer, and their three kids at home in Nova Scotia to go film.
“After the most intense and insane year of life,” she wrote, “I’m heading off to do a movie, away from home for the first time ever.”
Ory, who co-starred with Reardon in 2024’s “Believe in Christmas,” expressed how thankful she was for his willingness to steer the ship at home while she’s away filming.
She wrote, “Feeling SO grateful to my amazing partner, in every sense of the word—@johnny_reardon_ Holding down the fort. Solo parenting while the kids miss mommy. And again, after everything he’s been through, he is cheering me on. Supporting me. Supporting the family. Full of love. Thank you so much. Love you.”
“A Christmas Angel Match” will be part of Hallmark’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas. The full schedule will likely be released in mid-September, with the network’s lineup of original holiday programming set to start on October 17.
