Two years after Tamera Mowry-Housley starred in Hallmark’s first “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” movie, “Murder in G Major,” she’ll take on a new crime in “Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C” on October 12, 2025. The movie is a surprise addition to the Fall 2025 lineup of premieres.
Mowry-Housley revealed in February that she was in Ireland, filming at least one new movie as Gethsemane Brown. But with multiple other Hallmark mystery franchises on hold, including “Curious Caterer,” a second mystery on the autum schedule is a welcome surprise for sleuthers, and timed perfectly for a spooky weekend on the network with the October 11 premiere of “Haul Out the Halloween.” Countdown to Christmas is expected to start the following weekend.
What Are Hallmark’s ‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries’ About?
In the first “Haunted Harmony Mysteries,” we met Gethsemane, a former orchestra conductor who moved to Ireland to teach at a boarding school, St. Brendan’s, where she’s tasked with turning a motley group of students into an award-winning chorus.
But when she keeps hearing the same four notes playing in the old Irish house where she’s staying, she discovers it’s the ghost of one of her music idols, a songwriter-musician, Eamon, played by Risteard Cooper, who perished years before in a mysterious murder-suicide.
Able to see his spirit, she reluctantly starts working with him to try to solve the mystery and clear his name. She gets assistance from local Inspector O’Reilly, played by Adam Fergus, and her teaching colleague Griff, played by Hallmark fan favorite and “Riverdale” actor Marco Grazzini.
In the new movie, Gethsemane is back, as is the ghost of Eamon, to “solve the unexplained death of a sea captain,” per Hallmark. Grazzini reprises his role, too.
Tamera Mowry-Housley Likely Filmed 2 Hallmark Mysteries in Ireland
On February 3, Mowry-Housley indicated that she would be filming in Ireland for a long shoot and would miss her husband and their two kids, though they eventually were able to visit.
According to Ireland’s Screen Crew and Services Database, “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” was scheduled to film for more than two months, from February 4 to April 11, in Dublin and in picturesque Wicklow, located about 30 miles south of the city.
Given that most Hallmark movies stick to a 15-day production schedule, it’s likely that the cast and crew had enough time to film two movies. The movies are based on Alexia Gordon’s Gethsemane Brown Mysteries five-book series, with the upcoming premiere likely based on the novel “Killing in C Sharp.”
Tamera Mowry-Housley Will Have a Big Presence on Hallmark Channel During 4th Quarter of 2025
Mowry-Housley’s mystery movie will kick off a season when she’ll have a heavy presence on Hallmark Channel. She also spent part of August filming a holiday movie in Vancouver.
The “Sister Sister” alum will also helm the new reality competition series “Baked With Love: Holiday,” in which 10 pairs of “home bakers” will compete in a bake-off using family recipes, with the winners receiving a $50,000 prize. The series will air during Countdown to Christmas, but Hallmark hasn’t announced a premiere date.
