Kimberley Sustad Enjoys Hosting Fellow Hallmark Stars In Her Vancouver Home: ‘We All Hang Out’

As any Hallmark Channel fan worth their salt already knows, Vancouver is kind of ground zero.

Each summer, the West Coast Canadian city hosts dozens of Hallmark productions, utilizing Hollywood magic to transform summer into imaginary winter in a small bucolic town for Christmas movies that will air a few months later.

A Vancouver Local

While many actors travel from their homes in L.A. or other locales to film in Vancouver, Hallmark fan favorite Kimberley Sustad is a local.

Familiar to fans for the wildly popular “Three Wise Men” movies — on which she’s also screenwriter — Sustad has proven to be a beacon of hospitality for Hallmark Channel out-of-towners who come to Vancouver.

‘We All Hang Out’

In a recent interview with People, Sustad explained that she enjoys inviting cast and crew members to her home.

“I love having them over to my house in real life and forcing them to jump on the trampoline with my children,” Sustad said.

“Anytime they’re filming in Vancouver, which is where I live, I make them come over, and we all hang out,” she added.

Life on the Bus

Sustad was recently one of the several Hallmark stars to participate in “Hallmark Stars Live,” a 10-city tour in which she and her fellow Hallmark stars delivered a live presentation for fans.

Getting from city to city, the actors all crammed into a customized bus — an experience that Sustad likened to summer camp.

“It was like camp with our friends,” Sustad said of those days on the bus. “For some reason it felt so safe. It was such a wonderful experience.”

Hosting at Home

In a November 2025 interview with EntertainmentNow, Sustad explained that her home is especially appreciated by actors who’ve brought their families with them.

“I like to host, for sure, and it’s just the space that’s most conducive for families,” Sustad said. “I have the trampoline, so the parents can sit by the fire [on the patio], you know?”

Due to all the Hallmark movies filming in Vancouver, her summers are particularly busy when it comes to houseguests.

“During the summer, there will always be a Hallmark actor here, starting from, like, May to August,” she observed. “There’s always someone here. It’s pretty lovely.”

A Neighborhood Dream

As Sustad told EntertainmentNow, she and her “Three Wise Men” co-stars Tyler Hynes, Paul Campbell and Andrew Walker have a joint fantasy about one day becoming neighbors.

“We have this dream of buying homes on a cul-de-sac when we retire, and just like, complaining about each other’s yards. We have a whole plan,” she said.

“We’re all Canadians, and we’re like this unit — a little troop,” she continued. “We talk all the time. So, whether we’re on set or whatever, we’re all doing life together.”

That dream is actually moving closer to reality. As Sustad revealed, she and Campbell are already Vancouverites, while Walker and his family recently moved there — and Hynes plans to follow suit.

“Tyler’s gonna be moving out to Vancouver, and Andrew’s here now, so we’re a couple steps away from making it a reality,” she said.

“I want to throw [expletive] on their yards, just to tick off Tyler every day,” she jokingly added. “[I’ll] put something out there that he has to pick up, and he’ll be like, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna kill her,’ while I just sit at my house, watching.”
