HGTV couple Chelsea and Cole DeBoer open up about how they juggle four children, multiple businesses, and filming for their hit show, “Down Home Fab.”
“I feel like it’s hard to answer this question because we don’t even know how we’re doing it. We are just waking up every morning and running around with our heads cut off,” the former “Teen Mom” star said during a Monday, March 16, interview with Fox D.C. “Somehow things are getting done.”
For Cole’s part, he learned that no plan is the best plan.
“I’ve learned to never have a plan. Just wake up every day and tackle it,” he explained.
Chelsea and Cole DeBoer Gush About Their Busy Life
The South Dakota couple is constantly on the go. Between their HGTV series, their Sioux Falls storefront, their family farm, and their multiple brand partnerships, their days are packed.
Add in their four growing children, and it’s a wonder how they juggle it all. According to Chelsea, however, their children have shown interest in her and Cole’s work, which might make their lives a little easier.
“I feel like they are a little interested,” she said during Monday’s interview. “They love going to our store, and it’s really cool to see that. They want to be there and help check people out, and they like to see our projects. So that’s been really fun.”
In addition to spending time with their children—Aubree, 16, Watson, 9, Layne, 7, and Walker, 5—the happy couple love being together.
“Honestly, it’s a dream. We love being together, truly. And so the fact that we get to experience all this together has just been incredible,” the “16 & Pregnant” alum said. “We still sometimes wake up and we’re like, ‘What is our life?'”
Cole added, “You get to experience the highs of life with your favorite person, so it’s been amazing.”
Chelsea and Cole DeBoer’s Relationship Timeline
As “Teen Mom” fans know, Chelsea met Cole at a gas station in their hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
“Honestly, there’s just no one that I’ve met that’s so respectful and just nice and I trust him, which is a big deal, because it’s hard for me to trust people or guys, mostly,” she gushed to Us Weekly in July 2015. “And he’s so sweet, kind of like old-fashioned gentleman type of guy.”
They went on to tie the knot in October 2016 before growing their family. The couple purchased a plot of land outside of Sioux Falls and built their dream farmhouse.
After walking away from MTV, Chelsea slid into HGTV’s Instagram DMs and landed her own home renovation series.
