Chip and Joanna Gaines had an amazing spring break with their kids, making memories at their new Colorado mountain house. The former HGTV star shared a video of highlights from their week together, noting how one of their kids made a surprise appearance.
Joanna Gaines Shares a Peek at Their Family Spring Break
The family ventured off to their mountain house for spring break and Joanna gave fans an inside look at their amazing vacation.
On March 14, Joanna took to Instagram to share a video of their weeklong getaway with kids Drake, Ella, Duke, Emmie, and Crew.
“Spring break ’26,” she noted, checking off the activities they enjoyed during the week: “Card games for days,” “Skiing,” “Bowling,” “Fishing,” and “Campfire-ing.”
She added, “My oldest surprised me so all five of my babies were there 🤗😍🥹.”
Chip and Joanna shared the process of renovating the vacation home on the HGTV series “Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.”
In a clip from the show, Chip got choked up while sharing his vision of creating family memories at the house.
“I can see this being a really special addition to our family,” he said. “I mean, when you think about memories and time spent with your family, it feels like there’s going to be some special Gaines moments that occur on this property.”
Chip added, “And for Jo and I, we hope to facilitate a situation like that. You know?”
Fans lit up the comments section of Joanna’s family spring break post.

Joanna Returned to Texas Spring … & Puppies!
On March 14, Joanna took to Instagram to share a video of her garden flowers blooming.
“Been gone for five days and came back to spring flowers AND Pyrenees puppies!!!!” she wrote in the caption.
“We just got back from spring break … this is always my favorite thing to do,” she said. “I get home and everything is in full bloom.”
She noted, “There’s something so fun about going from snow to then … Texas spring.”
“Oh my gosh, it has exploded in just a week,” Joanna added. “It’s so pretty.”
The former HGTV star gave a tour of some of the beautiful florals in her garden. “It smells like heaven,” she said. “There really is no place like home.”
Joanna ended the video with “one more surprise” — eight puppies!
