Years after stepping away from their hit HGTV series, the “Boise Boys“—best friends Clint Robertson and Luke Caldwell—are back with a brand new series. The former reality stars announced that they’ve created their own show!
“After years on HGTV, we’re finally sharing where we’ve been, why we stepped away from television, and why we’re betting on ourselves by starting our own production company and launching our new YouTube channel, Luke and Clint,” the besties shared via YouTube in a video shared on July 30.
What Happened to the ‘Boise Boys’?
The Idaho men landed their own show in 2017. Running for just two seasons, Clint and Luke decided to walk away in 2020. But what have they been up to since?
“So, people always ask me what, you know, Clint and I have been up to the last couple years,” Luke explained. “We’re still filming, and we have been filming, but Clint moved away for a couple of years to be with his boys down in Texas. And I am just full-fledged trying to provide for my family.”
The duo has still been taking on residential clients, as well as working on personal projects along the way.
“If I don’t hustle, you know, it could put me in a tough spot,” he added. “So, it’s been awesome having Clint move back. I mean, obviously one of my best friends. We love spending time together, hanging out, and we really wanted to keep working on projects together.”
Luke announced that he and Clint have decided to start sharing their projects on YouTube with a series aptly titled “Luke and Clint.”
“Clint and I really enjoy sharing what we’ve learned in real estate and about design and the market. And we are so excited for our new episodes of ‘Luke and Clint’ on YouTube,” he said. “So we can keep sharing our lives and be able to do it in a fun way.”
Their New Show
Nearly a decade after launching their HGTV series, Clint and Luke are branching off with their own project.
“After seven years of filming Boise Boys and making incredible memories, projects, and adventures on HGTV, we made the decision to step out on our own and build something new,” they shared alongside a sneak peek of their new show. “This video is your first look at what’s ahead a brand-new series created by us, produced by us, and made for all of you who have supported us all these years.”
Nearly one year before the debut of their brand-new series, Luke told HGTV favorites Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama about their journey.
“We were probably six months in on that first flip, HGTV had just sent out like stuff to production companies what they’re looking for. They were looking for an odd couple that was not married that was in the Northwest,” he shared. “So we got bombarded like we probably had six different production companies reach out to us within a month out of nowhere just through Instagram.”
In their first episode of “Luke and Clint,” which premiered on YouTube on Thursday, August 27, the men revealed that they purchased a plot of land along the Boise River with the idea of creating a small community “from the ground up.”
After years and millions of dollars of investments, the men created “Greenway.”
