Christina Haack Reflects on Her ‘3 Failed Marriages’ in Vulnerable Post

Christina Haack is keeping it real about the ups and downs of her last 10 years. The HGTV star shared an emotional message with fans that addressed, in part, the “embarrassment” of her “three failed marriages.”

Christina Haack Shares Vulnerable Post With Fans

On September 28, Haack took to Instagram to share a life update with her fans.

“Hi everyone – I just wanted to thank you all for still being here. This past decade for me has been a whirlwind and, at times, a total circus,” she shared in the caption.

Haack continued, “In early 2024 I decided it was time to get off the roller coaster. Since then I’ve gone through many battles with myself and my ego. Biggest battle has been Embarrassment. Embarrassment over allowing myself to be treated certain ways and having 3 failed marriages — Trust me that one hurts and still at times makes me cringe.”

The HGTV star shared that she’s been doing the work to forgive herself, admitting she is “still a work in progress.”

“I’ve had to forgive myself and trust that things happen for a reason,” Haack noted. “I had to finally look myself in the mirror, do the work (with my amazing life coach) and ultimately decide to take ownership over my choices and most importantly — to forgive myself. I am still a work in progress but I can say that one thing has changed, I don’t have anxiety. And this came from self awareness within (not from smoking a toad or trying a quick fix).”

She shared, “I’ve had the wind knocked out of me so many times I’m shocked I’m still happy, motivated, and excited about life. But I am.”

“I’ll credit this to wanting to change, putting in the work to better understand myself, and only surrounding myself with people who are also happy, motivated and genuinely want me to succeed. That last one is SO important,” she wrote.

Haack offered some helpful encouragement to anyone struggling. “I’ve been tested, humbled, and reminded of what truly matters: my kids (especially communication and them ultimately learning from my mistakes), my inner circle, and NEVER giving up on my dreams!”

“If you’re in the tornado, don’t give up,” she added. “I promise if you decide to make a change and stick with it, life can truly be peaceful, FUN and free. ❤️”

Fans Share Words of Support & Love for Haack

Haack’s fans flooded the comments section with praise for the HGTV star doing the hard work.

Her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa wrote, “Let’s be real … you’re just trying to compete with me to see who can get beat up by life more😂😂😂 it’s close hahaha.”

His wife, Heather Rae, gave Haack an encouraging, “You go girl!!”

One fan noted, “You’ve really never shared your vulnerability on social media, and it takes a lot to share all this. Everything happens for a reason, and you have two choices in life: let it get you down or rise above it. I’m happy you are choosing to rise above and I wish you the best on your journey. Thank you for showing us your softer side, and I hope you do this again.”

“Beautiful as ever. God does not give us more than we can handle,” another fan commented. “The BEST is yet to come!”

One of her followers wrote, “You’re doing a great job, Christina. You are balancing so many different things and still rocking it.”
