Property Brothers & New Series Were Among Big HGTV Renewals
Earlier this year, HGTV made headlines when several fan-favorite series, such as “Battle on the Beach,” “Farmhouse Fixer,” and “Married to Real Estate,” were canceled.
However, a month later, the network teased good news on its official website, listing 11 shows currently casting, a clear sign that those programs would return for new seasons.
GettyAmong the returning hits are “My Lottery Dream Home,” “House Hunters,” and “Down Home Fab With Chelsea and Cole DeBoer.” “Property Brothers” also joined HGTV’s 2025 slate.
“HGTV’s passionate fans tune in for our signature home renovation, real estate and design expertise, and they also want content that’s unfiltered, escapist and fun,” Warner Bros. Discovery’s Chief Creative Officer of U.S. Networks, Howard Lee, said in a statement. “The network’s large order of new and returning series has something for everyone.”
Major Episode Orders Include ‘Botched Homes’ & ‘World’s Bargain Dream Homes’
HGTV further expanded its upcoming lineup in October with massive new orders — including 50 episodes across “Botched Homes,” “Neighborhood Watch,” “World’s Bargain Dream Homes,” and “Property Brothers: Under Pressure.”
In addition, the network announced nearly 400 new episodes of both “House Hunters” and “House Hunters International.” Lee added, “With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings, while featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans.”
In 2025, HGTV fans were taken by surprise when stars from at least seven popular shows confirmed their series had been canceled. The shake-up was attributed to budget constraints, lower ratings, and a shift in creative focus.
Since then, HGTV has unveiled a new slate of programs emphasizing real estate, design, and affordability over big-budget renovations. Among the fresh additions is “Junk or Jackpot,” hosted by “Queer Eye” alum Bobby Berk, which is set to premiere in 2026.
