Pregnant HGTV Star Rushes Toddler to ER After ‘Traumatic’ Accident

Jasmine Roth — who is pregnant and expecting her third child with husband Brett Roth — had a terrifying scare today. Her toddler daughter, Darla, was rushed to the emergency room after a traumatic accident.

Jasmine Roth’s ER Visit

The HGTV star shared the gory details of her visit to the ER with her more than 700,000 Instagram followers.

“Today was a rough one. Darla had her first ER visit (our first since having kids) and it was a LOT,” Roth shared via her Instagram Story on Sunday, May 31. “She fell off the couch and hit the coffee table just right so she had a 1/2″ indentation where her eyebrow was supposed to be.”

The expectant mother was home alone with her two girls when the accident happened. (In addition to the 20-month-old, Jasmine and Brett share a 6-year-old daughter, Hazel.)

“I’ve never seen anything like this. I was so scared for her. Hazel was screaming because she was scared too but we had to act fast. Poor baby cried but was so brave,” Jasmine continued.

She later revealed that Darla required seven stitches to “close her back up.”

“She was such a trooper. I’m going to put our coffee table in storage until the kids are in college,” Roth added. “Just a reminder that being a parent isn’t about all the pressure we put on ourselves to make everything perfect. It’s about keeping them as safe as possible and being there for them when something goes wrong.”

The “Help! I Wrecked My Home” star called the day “traumatic,” but thanked the hospital staff for their great care.

“Feeling lucky it wasn’t worse and we were able to take her home to rest and play,” she wrote. “Sending love to all the parents who are having tough times right now. You aren’t alone.”

Jasmine Roth Details 3rd Pregnancy

Roth was as shocked as anyone when she learned earlier this year that she is pregnant with her third child.

“I certainly never expected to get pregnant without medical intervention,” she shared via Instagram on Saturday, May 30, explaining that Darla was conceived with IUI. “It took over a year and an IUI procedure to get pregnant last time, so a spontaneous pregnancy on the first try wasn’t on my radar. It wasn’t an accident, but it certainly was a surprise.”

She added, “The first trimester has been hard. The nausea has been unrelenting and the fatigue has been so much more than my other pregnancies. By the end of the day, I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck and when I wake up in the morning, I feel worse.”

Daughter Darla, who was born in September 2024, arrived a month early and required a stay in the NICU.

“Motherhood has truly been the greatest joy and privilege of my life. I love being a mom, and it’s been really special watching my college-roommate-turned-husband become such an incredible dad,” she told People earlier this month. “After having our first baby one month into COVID and our second arriving early and spending time in the NICU while we were also moving to a new state, I’m honestly just hoping for a little less chaos surrounding this birth. We’re so excited to meet this baby and welcome what feels like the final piece of our family…Although I think I may have said that after each child!”
