Jasmine Roth took on a unique renovation project and totally nailed it. See what the HGTV star said about her “dream project” and why she was initially hesitant about tackling it.
Jasmine Roth Shares Stunning Results of Her ‘Dream Project’
On November 3, Roth took to Instagram to share how unexpected it was to be offered a completely different kind of project.
“Just a reminder that life can take you totally by surprise. It can crush you, but it can also build you up higher than you ever thought possible,” she wrote in the caption.
Roth continued, “If you’d told 30 year old Jazzy that she’d be designing a ski lodge for her new ‘hometown’ in Utah and documenting it on her own show on HGTV — I’m pretty sure I would’ve laughed so hard I cried. But seriously is this real life!?”
The HGTV star added, “Now let’s finish this thing up and post some ‘after’ photos shall we!? Thanks for following along as I post my journey to build my happy in Utah one day at a time. Will you stick around to see what’s next? Not sure how I’m going to top this … but I have a feeling I might. 😉”
In another post, Roth gave fans a look at the finished project.
“And just like that, I designed a ski lodge!” she wrote. “Not just any ski lodge, but @pcski, the largest ski resort in the United States. 🙌🏼”
Roth explained, “This was a dream project, and I’m so grateful for this opportunity! A huge shout-out to everyone who helped give Park City Mountain resort a new life 🙂.”
Roth Gave the Ski Lodge a ‘Cosmetic Refresh’
In an October 30 Instagram post, Roth shared a look at the space before the renovation process. “After the initial excitement, I started getting nervous as I realized this is an iconic commercial building that has over 1,000 people per day visit,” she noted.
“One of the most important parts of this project … is the attention to detail needed to make this renovation a success,” the HGTV star explained. “Digging in on this project means paying attention to all the layers and not shying away from the hard design decisions.”
Roth noted that one of her design choices was to maintain the existing midcentury beams and paint the posts black to reflect Park City’s history as a mining town. She also added a large mural to the back wall of the space.
The HGTV star called her design “a cosmetic refresh,” explaining, “We’re keeping a lot of what’s here.”
