Vanessa Bryant, the widow of late Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, has once again shut down rumors regarding her personal life.
Vanessa Bryant Shut Down Marriage Rumors
Rumors began circulating over the weekend that Vanessa was set to remarry, six years after losing her husband and daughter, Gianna Bryant, in a tragic helicopter accident.
“Vanessa Bryant is set to remarry after inheriting a 50 [percent] share of Kobe Bryant’s wealth, with the remaining 50 [percent] being shared among their three daughters,” a viral tweet read.
In the screenshot that has been circulating social media, one follower responded, “It’s been six years, if she wants to remarry then so what, is she supposed to stay alone the rest of her life??”
Vanessa reshared the screenshot to her Instagram Story on Sunday, May 3, writing, “Can you guys decide already…am I pregnant for the 100th time or am I getting remarried???”
The mother of four — who also shares daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri with her late husband — received a ton of support in the comments of the viral post.
“Good for her. Kobe would want her to be happy. Her daughters would want her to be happy she probably went through a lot mentally before finally committing to this person. I’m proud of her for getting the strength to move on and be happy,” one fan wrote.
Another commented, “Yall need to stop hating on this woman, she lost a husband a daughter, she has coped she still shares their love beyond their graves. Like she deserves to be happy. Like Jesus Christ.”
Vanessa Honors Her Late Husband and Daughter
Vanessa never misses an opportunity to honor her late husband and daughter on anniversaries, birthdays and beyond.
“Happy birthday to my sweet baby angel, Gianna. Words can’t express how much I love and miss you mamacita. Mommy loves you so much! #HappyBirthday #20,” she shared alongside a photo with daughter Gianna on what would have been her 20th birthday.
That same day, she announced $500,000 in scholarships for 20 student-athletes in her daughter’s name, through the Gianna Bryant College Scholarship Fund.
“Today, May 1st, marks what would have been Gianna Bryant’s 20th birthday,” Vanessa shared. “In Gigi’s honor, we are proud to announce the 2026 Class of Gianna Bryant Scholars— 20 exceptional student-athletes from Los Angeles and Orange County, administered in partnership with the California Community Foundation and local Boys & Girls Club affiliates.”
She added, “Congratulations to all of our 2026 Scholars! We are deeply honored to invest in your future. And to our Gigi, Happy 20th Birthday! Your vision, your spirit, and your beautiful heart continue to light the way.”
Vanessa and Kobe Bryant were married from April 2001 until his death in January 2020. The pair welcomed four daughters throughout their marriage. Their youngest, Capri, was just seven months old at the time of the tragedy.
Following the tragic deaths of Kobe and Gianna, Vanessa has continued to raise their daughters, largely out of the public eye.
Natalia, the couple’s eldest daughter, graduated from the University of Southern California in May 2025, and has continued her modeling career.
