How Did Jonathan Scott, Zooey Deschanel, Octavia Spencer & the ‘Real Housewives’ Become Friends?

Though it’s unclear how this particular night out came to be, there are some existing friendship connections among the group.

Heather and Crystal know each other through their “Real Housewives” franchises, plus Heather and Terry are often in the area. They have a luxury apartment in Los Angeles and just sold their Beverly Hills mansion for $16.5 million, per Bravo.

Deschanel has also been close friends with Minkoff for years. The two are frequently seen in each other’s social media shares, including a night out with their beaus in January.

Spencer and Deschanel, meanwhile, co-starred in the 2009 movie “500 Days of Summer.” Years later, in 2021, Spencer also appeared on one of the many series Scott has produced with his twin brother, Drew Scott, called “Celebrity IOU: Joyride,” which was hosted by Ant Anstead and Christy Lee.

In addition, Spencer is a Bravo superfan who has appeared many times on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” to dissect recent episodes of different “Real Housewives” franchises.
