Alaina Scott, the eldest daughter of rapper Eminem, is preparing to welcome her first child and setting clear boundaries for family and friends ahead of the baby’s arrival.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Scott shared the rules she and her husband Matt Moeller have already sent to loved ones as they get ready to bring their baby girl home. “Some people are dropping rules / wishes too so I’ll add what we will or have already sent out to friends and family,” Scott wrote.
One of the biggest requests is simple. “Once we are home, please do not stop by unannounced or plan surprise visits,” she wrote, asking visitors to check in first to see when it is a good time to come over.
The Rules for Visiting the Baby
Scott also shared several health and safety precautions for visitors. She asked that people avoid trying to grab or hold the baby unless invited. “We will offer when we are comfortable with people holding her,” she explained.
Another rule is a strict no-kissing policy. “No kissing the baby anywhere — hands, feet, head etc. no exceptions,” Scott wrote, adding that guests should wash and sanitize their hands before touching the baby. She also asked anyone who feels sick or has recently been ill to stay home.
Privacy is another major boundary for the couple. Scott said she and Moeller will not be posting photos of their daughter online and asked family and friends not to share images of the baby either.
While she acknowledged some people might find the rules excessive, Scott said the goal is protecting her family during an important time. “These boundaries may seem extreme or a bit much to some but protecting our peace, postpartum recovery and our baby is the most important thing,” she wrote. “I’m not willing to compromise my comfort for someone else’s uncomfortableness,” per People.
A Long Road to Becoming Parents
Scott announced her pregnancy in October 2025 with a photo of herself and Moeller holding a onesie that read “Baby Moeller Coming 2026.” Reflecting on the experience, she wrote, “For months, I’ve carried a tiny heartbeat inside me, one that has already changed mine in every possible way.”
The moment came after a difficult journey trying to conceive. In a November 2025 post, Scott opened up about the emotional toll of the process. “Month after month we prayed for this little miracle,” she wrote. “Truth is, no one prepares you for how hard TTC is and the emotional strain it causes you,” according to E! News.
She also revealed that while building their home, she and Moeller wrote a prayer inside the walls asking for a healthy baby and a positive pregnancy test. “These same walls are where I stood telling Matt our prayers had came true and where we will raise her. A true full circle moment,” she wrote.
Scott, born in 1993, is the daughter of Dawn Scott, the twin sister of Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott. The rapper adopted her in the early 2000s and helped raise her alongside his daughter Hailie. In a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone, Eminem said, “I have full custody of my niece and joint custody of Hailie.”
Scott has described the rapper as her father and had him walk her down the aisle when she married Moeller in Detroit in June 2023. Reflecting on the moment, she told People, “None of this would have been possible without my dad. I’m beyond blessed.”
