Fergie is stepping back into familiar territory.
The singer recently reunited with the Black Eyed Peas, marking her first public moment with the group in eight years after previously stepping away to focus on family and solo priorities.
She shared the carousel of images to Instagram on Saturday, Dec. 13.
“Finally got to break bread and celebrate our milestone birthdays together. What a special night with my brothers, filled with so much love 🫛🫛♥️♥️,” she wrote.
“The best one yet!!! And I’m so happy…,” will.i.am commented.
The unexpected reunion instantly sparked excitement among longtime fans, many of whom associate Fergie’s powerhouse vocals with the group’s biggest hits.
Seeing the group back together made many fans want a reunion tour.
“This reunion could save the world,” one user wrote.
Supporters praised the nostalgic energy of seeing the original lineup connected once more, with many noting how influential Fergie’s era with the group was in shaping 2000s pop culture.
“YES, YES, YES!! You guys together can GET THE PARTY STARTED like nobody else!” another added.
Black Eyed Peas Continue to Have a Lasting Impact
While the Black Eyed Peas have continued to tour and release music since her departure, her return — even briefly — felt like a full-circle moment for the iconic pop and hip-hop collective.
Fergie originally joined the Black Eyed Peas in 2002, helping transform the group into a global phenomenon.
With her at the forefront, the band released chart-topping albums including “Elephunk,” “Monkey Business,” and “The E.N.D.,” producing era-defining songs like “Where Is the Love?,” “Boom Boom Pow,” “I Gotta Feeling,” and “Let’s Get It Started.”
Her dynamic stage presence and vocal versatility played a major role in the group’s mainstream crossover success.
Fergie Left the Band in 2017
In 2017, Fergie confirmed she was stepping away from the Black Eyed Peas to focus on motherhood and her solo career, including raising her son, Axl, whom she shares with ex-husband Josh Duhamel.
At the time, both she and the band emphasized that there was no animosity behind the decision — simply a shift in priorities.
Since then, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo have continued forward, collaborating with various artists and evolving their sound while maintaining the group’s core identity.
Still, fans never fully stopped hoping for a moment when Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas might share the same space again.
Fergie previously made a rare appearance and took to the stage to perform in October during a Ludacris concert.
