The Jonas Brothers might be best known for their band, but they aren’t only passionate about music. In a new Instagram clip, Joe and Nick revealed they’re actually big fans of telenovelas.
In a new video, the pop singers paid homage to a popular telenovela. Fans recognized it’s part of the brothers’ overall love of Latin American culture.
Kevin, Joe, & Nick Jonas Fell in Love With Latin America
Marie Claire Mexico recently uploaded a hysterical clip of the Jonas Brothers recreating a scene from a popular telenovela, “Despertar contigo.”
In the Instagram clip, both Joe and Nick stare dramatically at one another. Joe pretends to slap Nick, who falls to the couch behind him. Then Nick stands up and pretends to backhand Joe. The brothers hold their faces with quivering hands.
Overall, fans loved the hilarious scene.
“This was Joe’s idea. 🤣♥️” one Instagram user wrote.
“Eso por romper la banda Nick 😂😂❤️” another wrote, translating to, “That’s for breaking the band, Nick!”
While the “Despertar contigo” producers likely won’t call the Jonas Brothers to star in their show anytime soon, the pop stars are enjoying other elements of Latin America culture.
This week, Nick Jonas posted a quick Instagram video, tagging Buenos Aires, Argentina as his location.
Right now, the band is in the middle of their world tour. In May, they’ll play in both Mexico City and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
On Instagram, Joe posted a sweet note after their show in Chile. In the attached clip, dozens of fans reach out to him as he serenades the crowd, making eye contact with several.
“Te amo chile 🫂♾️” the singer wrote, meaning, “I love you, Chile.”
The Brothers Preserve Their Legacy in Pop Culture History
Even though the Jonas Brothers have been around for over 20 years, they still have a remarkable reputation in the music scene.
While speaking to Billboard, the All-American Rejects had nothing but positive things to say about the Jonas Brothers, even if being part of their tour was challenging.
“The Jonas Brothers were absolute gentlemen. They run such an incredible machine. But that tour for me was just absolute misery,” frontman Tyson Ritter said about the brothers. “Because we had done these backyard parties. We’re at eye level with fans old and new. And that connection and the energy in the line, the energy in those environments was like…well, we’re in the belly of that beast. We were holding the tail of the dragon.”
In 2025, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas were honored with their own handprints in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
Although the brothers hoped they might make it big one day, they never took their journey for granted.
“We were just normal kids growing up in New Jersey. We never imagined that our hands and feet would one day be a part of Hollywood history,” Joe Jonas shared during the ceremony. “Today marks an unbelievable milestone in our journey, a journey that is now 20 years strong.”
