According to authorities, the disappearance of Madonna’s vintage Coachella pieces may not have involved theft.

As reported by TMZ, a representative for the Indio Police Department said a missing property report was filed on April 18, 2026, after the items could not be located. The report noted that the missing belongings included clothing and jewelry last seen at the Empire Polo Grounds during the second weekend of the festival.

Officials said a preliminary review suggests the bags containing the items may have accidentally fallen from a golf cart while staff were transporting them.

The loss was only discovered after the group arrived back at their hotel.

At this time, police say there is no evidence indicating the items were intentionally taken.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have come across the missing pieces to return them or contact the department.

A Full Circle Coachella Moment With Sabrina Carpenter

Madonna made a memorable return to Coachella with a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining set, creating a moment that felt both nostalgic and quietly meaningful.

During the performance, she shared that she was wearing the same corset, boots, and Gucci jacket from her original Coachella appearance two decades earlier, bringing a sense of continuity to the stage.

The two artists also performed a new track connected to Madonna’s upcoming project, a follow-up to her 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor.”

For the occasion, Madonna chose a purple corset layered over a lace-trimmed camisole, styled with matching gloves, stockings, and knee-high lace boots.

The look gently echoed her earlier era, adding emotional depth to her return. Alongside her, Carpenter wore a white strapless bodysuit with delicate lace detailing, creating a visual moment that felt like a bridge between generations, honoring both legacy and new beginnings.
