Lambrini Girls will no longer take the stage at Coachella this weekend after a sudden health setback forced the band to step away from the festival. Last-minute changes are a familiar part of Coachella, one of the largest music festivals in the United States, where lineups can shift as the weekend draws closer.
However, the band had a more heartbreaking reason for canceling their set. The group shared the update on Instagram on Wednesday, explaining that guitarist Phoebe Lunny is recovering from a serious injury that prevents her from performing or traveling at this time.
“We have to pull out of Coachella and reschedule our whole American headline tour. Long story short, I fractured my neck, and I have an acute brain injury,” the post read.
Phoebe Lunny Shares Details of Injury and Recovery
Phoebe Lunny shared that the injury happened while she was in Australia and was initially misdiagnosed, which delayed her receiving the right treatment.
“Doctor’s orders are I can’t fly or perform for six weeks,” the message added.
Despite the setback, the band said their upcoming U.S. headline tour will be rescheduled, while dates planned for late May in the United Kingdom and across Europe are still expected to proceed.
The group also spoke openly about how difficult it was to step away from Coachella, a performance they had been looking forward to.
Getty“We are so gutted, guys. We want to be there so badly,” the post read. “If it was a broken leg I would do a Dave Grohl and play it.”
“This isn’t something we are taking lightly, and we are really sad. We hope and pray there’s some universe we get to play there next year instead.”
It added, “But because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I’m lucky and expect a speedy recovery, thank [expletive] lol.”
Fans Rally Around the Band With Support
Following the announcement, fans quickly filled the comments with messages of support and encouragement for Phoebe Lunny and the band, offering words of comfort as she begins her recovery.
“It’s punk af to rest, hope you have a quick recovery,” one person wrote.
Another added, “The new album will hold us over while you recover.”
Lambrini Girls released their debut album “Who Let the Dogs Out” in 2025, continuing to build a growing and loyal fan base.
Coachella Lineup Adjusts as Festival Continues
Following Lambrini Girls’ withdrawal, Jack White was announced as a surprise addition, giving fans something new to look forward to.
“Coachella 2015 headliner Jack White returns to the desert as this year’s Surprise Set. Catch Jack White live at the Mojave Tent this Saturday, April 11, at 3 pm, or tune into the livestream at Coachella.com,” a post on his Instagram account read.
The update was met with excitement from fans, adding a fresh wave of energy as the festival approaches.

I thought from reading the headline that it was Bruce Springsteen that sufferred from a brain injury. No, he just behaves and speaks like someone who has a brain injury!!!
You are so right!
