Madonna Shares Rare Photos of Twin Daughters at 14 — See How Much They’ve Grown

Madonna is sharing a deeper glimpse into her family. The Queen of Pop celebrated her daughters’ birthdays with the world. Madonna is intensely guarded when it comes to her children. However, the songstress has opened up on occasion. Her daughters’ big day inspired her to share their celebration with the rest of the world.

Madonna, 68, took to Instagram to mark the occasion of her twin daughters Stella and Estere’s 14th birthday. The proud mother had beautiful words to impart to her children. The post includes a carousel of photos and videos, all the way back from when she first adopted them from Malawi.

Madonna Has Touching Words For Her Daughters

Madonna was feeling affectionate of her daughters, sharing their best moments. The “Material Girl” superstar penned a tribute straight from her heart. As she states, Madonna felt a maternal connection the moment she first laid eyes on them. The relationship has always been as strong as the day they first met, and Madonna never misses a moment to praise her children.

In the post, Stella and Estere are seen together wearing long white dresses, posing for the camera. Another adorable moment includes a video of the pair as toddlers dancing it out in the backseat of a car. Several other pictures of both girls in their preteen days complete the rest of the carousel. Madonna also used a photo of her hugging the pair as the cover for the post.

Although known for her bold and risque image, motherhood brings out a more grounded personality in Madonna. The “Like a Prayer” singer has generally kept her children out of the spotlight. However, she has also brought them along to events to experience her life in front of the cameras.

Madonna Spends The Most Cherished Moments Of Her Life With Her Children

Madonna became a mother at the age of 38 in 1996. Since then, the artist has welcomed five further children into her life. She is mother to Lourdes Leon, 29, Rocco Ritchie, 26, David Banda, 20, Mercy James, 20, and Stella and Estere Ciccone, 14. Lourdes is her child with former partner Carlos Leon, while Rocco was born during her marriage to Guy Ritchie.

Madonna celebrated her own birthday just days earlier on August 16 in Greece. Five of her children, barring David, were present for the festivities. The 68-year-old also uploaded photos of herself and Rocco for what she called a “full circle moment” after originally visiting the country while pregnant with him. Madonna’s words involving her children have generally been about how grateful she is to be a mother.

In a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair Italia, Madonna had called raising children a “work of art.” She also confessed to having no idea how she balanced her career and responsibilities as a parent. Now, with most of her children adults in their own right, Madonna enjoys having a deeper bond with them.

Even today, I struggle to understand how to be a mother as well as do my job,” the singer said of motherhood in the Vanity Fair Italia interview. “Because no matter where you are, whoever you are, having children and raising kids is a work of art. And nobody gives you a manual — you have to learn from your mistakes.”
