Mariah Carey has made a major — and unexpected — announcement about her annual Christmas show. The star took to Instagram on Monday, September 15, to reveal that the highly-anticipated holiday event will be taking place in Las Vegas for 2025 instead of going on tour like it has in the past.
“Excited to bring Christmastime to the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Vegas! Tickets on sale this Saturday 9/20 at 10am PT 💕💕,” the superstar singer wrote alongside her post.
Tickets will “first become available through a Citi / AAdvantage presale on Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by an artist presale on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. PT and a third presale for MGM Rewards, Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers on Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. PT. All presales close Sept. 19 at 10 p.m. PT.,” according to People. “All other fans can buy tickets starting Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. PT.”
The festive residency has been scheduled for 10 shows. They will take place on November 28 and 29 before hitting the stage on December 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 13.

Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas’ is a Holiday Classic
“All I Want for Christmas” is undeniably Carey’s most popular holiday hit and a key performance during her festive show. It has certainly kept people in a holly-jolly mood on an annual basis ever since it was first released back in 1994. Indeed, it has been a number one hit every year since 2019, the Los Angeles Times noted in 2024.
“I was working on it by myself … on this little Casio keyboard and writing down words and thinking about, ‘What do I think of at Christmas? What do I love? What do I want? What do I dream of?'” Carey recalled while talking to ABC News’ Juju Chang in November 2023. “And that’s what started it.”
“My goal was to do something timeless, so it didn’t feel like the ’90s, which is when I wrote it,” she continued.
Carey then credited the song’s success to the fact that she “really, truly” loves Christmastime. While referring to her festive spirit, she noted, “It’s not fake.”
