The world fell in love with Susan Boyle when she competed on “Britain’s Got Talent” Season 3 in 2009, and although she did not walk away from the competition as the overall winner, she won hearts and impressed judge Simon Cowell, which is a win in itself!
Now, 17 years after wowing audiences with her version of “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Misérables,” Boyle has debuted a dramatic and gorgeous transformation. She has also teased that something big is coming, and fans are excited.
Susan Boyle Teases Exciting New Project
In new photos posted on Instagram on Wednesday, May 27, Boyle is wearing an oversized fur coat, sunglasses, and a velvet brown tracksuit. Her hair is blonde and styled into a lob with bangs. The style looks great on her.
In other pictures, she appears in the recording studio. In the caption, she teased that something big was coming. “#ad | A new era starts tomorrow,” she wrote. In addition to posting the new photos, Boyle also deleted all other posts on her account. Fans are eager to find out what is happening, and there has been much speculation, including about whether she will release new music.
“Will there be an album party?,” a fan questioned. “OK SUSAN J BLIGE LETS GOOO,” another person shared. Other reactions include, “She’s an icon she’s a legend she IS the moment,” “I know a baddie when I see one,” “I DREAMED A DREAM FOR THIS,” and “she is BACK!!!!” Unsurprisingly, the post is generating a lot of excitement.
Susan Boyle Embraces Lifestyle Changes
GettyThis is not the first time Boyle has grabbed fans’ attention with her appearance, and she looks very different from when she debuted on reality TV. Despite changes in how she looks, Boyle has always been confident. In an interview in 2009, she said, “I know what they were thinking but why should it matter as long as I can sing? It’s not a beauty contest,” she said, Huff Post reports. She continued, “Maybe I’ll consider a makeover later on. For now I’m happy the way I am—short and plump. I would not go in for Botox or anything like that. What’s wrong with looking like Susan Boyle? What’s the matter with that?”
However, in 2012, Boyle revealed that she had made changes to her diet after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. She stopped eating sugar, took health supplements, and started walking every day. “I need to stop eating sweeties and cakes. It’s the bane of my life. I had to lose the weight for my health,” she told The Mirror. She ultimately lost 50 pounds.
Fans are looking forward to seeing what she will do next, and Boyle has over 182,000 followers on Instagram. The Scottish songstress has fans from around the world, including megastars like Timothée Chalamet. In an interview with the BBC in December 2025, Chalamet named Boyle as someone he considers a great Briton. “She dreamt big,” he said. “She dreamt bigger than all of us. Who wasn’t moved by that? I remember it like it was yesterday.”
