With the fall on the horizon, Netflix has just unveiled its impressive array of new original programming for September 2026.

As usual, there’s a mix of drama and comedy in the upcoming new movies, TV series, documentaries and specials that will be coming our way in the weeks to come.


‘Untitled Raygun: Breaking Badly’

The latest in Netflix’s “Untitled” sports documentary series looks at Australian breakdancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn, whose unique routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics turned her into a global viral sensation and the target of intense online chatter. Premiere: September 1


Turning Point: Generation 9/11

With firsthand accounts of the attacks and their aftermath, this thought-provoking documentary explores how 9/11 shaped a generation, 25 years later. Premiere: September 2


‘The Gentlemen’ Season 2

Eddie Horniman, Duke of Halstead (Theo James), is expanding his criminal operations in the second season of this hit series from Guy Ritchie.

In the new season, Eddie has big plans to expand his thriving empire — with or without the blessing of gangster Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone). Meanwhile, business partner — and Bobby’s daughter — Susie (Kaya Scodelario) starts sniffing out a new way to diversify the business. Premiere: September 3


‘Earle Meets World’

‘Teenage Wasteland’

In 1991, an eccentric high school teacher and his students exposed a toxic waste conspiracy through a DIY class project that made headlines and exposed a huge conspiracy and web of corruption in their small town. Decades later, they look back on its impact in this documentary. Premiere: September 4


‘DANG!’

“After their sister Ruthie blows up her perfect life, Andrew and Eunice show her the fun in being flawed as she helps them adult,” reads the description of this animated sitcom. Premiere: September 8


‘Stavros Halkias: Uncle Stav’

Fresh off becoming an uncle this year, comedian Stavros Halkias is back for his second Netflix standup comedy special. “With the same unruly charm, Stavros has a little more wisdom to pass down this time around, proving you can be both a dirtbag and a role model at the same time,” reads the synopsis. Premiere: September 8


‘Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool’

A true 1980s icon, Mr. T opens up like never before in this “Untold” documentary that reveals the full story behind the mohawk, signature gold chains and catchphrase from the man himself. Premiere: September 8


‘Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again?

The latest film in the franchise finds the couples reuniting for the destination wedding of Marcus and Angela’s daughter, bringing drama old and new as they ask, “Why did we get married again?” Premiere: September 9


‘Call My Agent: The Movie’

The acclaimed French comedy is resurrected in this standalone movie. Five years after ASK Agency closed, Andréa has pivoted from talent agent to movie director. While directing her first feature, her lead actor bolts, days before filming, forcing her to reunite her old team — for better or worse. Premiere: September 10


‘Crew Girl’

After a family scandal, talented teen rower Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) moves to a small town and attends an elite prep school — only to discover there’s no girls’ rowing team. She’s forced to join the all-boys crew, sparking rivalry and attraction. Premiere: September 10


‘Hot Ones: Extra Heat’ Episode 2

‘Joy Koy: Blue in the Face’

In his sixth Netflix standup special, Jo Koy relives a wild dental disaster, recounts getting fired from McDonald’s and celebrates his veteran stepdad. Premiere: September 15


‘Stranger Things: Tales from ’85’ Season 2

This animated prequel series returns with a second season. “With Valentine’s Day on the way, the gang must uncover the truth behind ghostly apparitions and a swarm of strange creatures causing chaos around town,” reveals the synopsis. Premiere: September 17


‘Best of the Best’

In this comedy feature, two childhood best friends, Maya and Anjali (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia), join UCLA’s competitive Bollywood-fusion dance team, only to discover that the road to winning the U.S. Championship is far more raucous and cutthroat than they ever imagined. Premiere: September 18


‘Wonka’s The Golden Ticket’

“Twelve lucky Golden Ticket winners, each with a partner of their choosing, will step through the gates of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and into a world of pure imagination, delicious mischief, and unexpected challenges,” reads the description of this new reality challenge based on Roald Dahl’s beloved book. “Once inside, contestants must navigate a series of Wonka’s games, tests, and temptations designed to challenge them physically, mentally, and morally. ‘A Different World’

Thirty-nine years after the premiere of beloved sitcom “A Different World” comes this reboot/revival, focusing on Deborah (Maleah Joi Moon), Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison) and Whitley Gilbert’s (Jasmine Guy) free-spirited, well-intentioned, yet rebellious youngest child. Like her folks, she enters her freshman year at Hillman College, where she finds the shadow of her parents difficult to escape as she sets out to build her own legacy, while having the time of her life, alongside a whole new generation of Hillman’s best and brightest. Premiere: September 24


‘Unabomber’
