Alright, the whole dramatic schtick of weaving together characters that don’t seem connected but somehow strangely are has been done before (Traffic, Crash), so that’s nothing new. Still, with director Fernando Meirelles (City of God if you haven’t seen it, watch it), screenwriter Peter Morgan (Frost / Nixon, The Last King of Scotland) and a top notch cast of Anthony Hopkins, Jude Law, Ben Foster, and Rachel Weisz, we’re bound to get something that’s nothing short of a first rate drama. The dramatic thriller of intersecting lives opens in Europe in July and the States later this year.
