Ben Affleck is embracing a fresh new look. The 53-year-old actor was spotted in Los Angeles on August 28, looking sharp in a light gray suit and crisp white shirt, this time without the beard he has sported for over a year.

Affleck Showed Off a Beard at CinemaCon Earlier This Year

(Photo by Marcus Ingram/Getty Images)Just months before, in April, Affleck had unveiled a darker beard at CinemaCon 2025, where he promoted his upcoming film “The Accountant 2.” On stage, he appeared alongside castmates Daniella Pineda, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and Jon Bernthal during an Amazon MGM Studios presentation.
He wore a relaxed navy blue suit without a tie, leaving the first few buttons of his light blue shirt undone. His darker, almost all-brown facial hair stood out, a departure from the usual salt-and-pepper style fans had grown accustomed to.
Actor Opened Up About Divorce in GQ Interview

The actor appeared in the April 2025 cover story, where he discussed rumors surrounding their split and his participation in Lopez’s documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
“Part of it was, ‘Okay, if I’m going to participate in this, I want to try to do it in an honest way and in a way that’s interesting,’” Affleck explained. “Because I thought it was an interesting examination.”
He emphasized that the documentary was not the cause of their marital challenges: “It’s not like you can watch that documentary and go, ‘Oh, now I understand the issues that these two had.’”
Moving Forward With Work & Family

Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021 after first breaking off an engagement in 2003. They later married in 2022 with ceremonies in Las Vegas and Georgia. Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, which was finalized in January.
Most recently, People confirmed in July that the former couple decided to pull their Beverly Hills mansion off the market after it failed to sell for a year. “It was a business decision they made together,” a source shared.
