Beloved Influencer Opens Up About Toddler Son’s Passing in Effort to Bring ‘Awareness’

Influencer Emilie Kiser lost her 3-year-old son, Trigg, in a tragic drowning accident last May. Now, 10 months after his passing, Kiser is hoping to bring awareness to the “preventable” tragedy.

Emilie Kiser Reflects on Son Trigg’s Passing

Kiser took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, March 18, to share an update on her healing journey with fans.

“Today is officially 10 months since we lost our son Trigg to a preventable drowning accident. I continue to feel like I have no words in what to say when I’m asked how I feel because the only adequate word is ‘broken.’ I miss him so much. Everything about him. Especially the joy and light he brought to our home,” she began.

Kiser, who also shares 12-month-old son Theodore “Teddy” with husband Brady Kiser, added, “I see him in Teddy every single day, and that does bring me some level of peace, while also surfacing a lot of other emotions.”

She continued, “One of the hardest parts about the last 10 months, although I can’t [possibly] pick just 1, is having to live without him. Some people might read that and think it’s obvious, but it’s a daily mountain to climb. Waking up without him next to me, not getting to talk to him every day, not getting to see his perfect smile, and so much more.”

Emilie Kiser Aims to Bring Awareness to Prevent Drowning Deaths

Trigg Kiser passed away after in a drowning accident in the family’s unsecured pool in Chandler, Arizona, in May 2025. Emilie was not home at the time of the tragedy, and Brady was caring for the couple’s newborn when he lost sight of the toddler.

“It’s impossible to describe to people the feeling of your entire life falling apart and knowing you will never feel whole again. But despite that, you have to keep going and get used to the new routine you’re forced to live. It will never feel normal and it will never feel the same. It will always be compared to what was before and what was perfect. He was perfect,” Emilie shared on Wednesday. “I have so much more I could share. So much more I could say. I could talk about him and this subject for hours, and I do with the people closest to us who knew him and his heart.”

She went on to add that her goal is to bring “awareness” to this preventable tragedy.

“So please, fence your pools, add multiple barriers, get your kids in swim lessons NOW & consistently. And last but most certainly not least, always watch them around water,” she pleaded. “I love you guys. I am always grateful for your support and your willingness to hear what I choose to share.”
