Gina Kirschenheiter and Shannon Beador haven’t always been friends but the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star is jumping to her co-star’s defense.
Gina spoke to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” to defend Shannon after former “RHOC” producer Patrick McDonald made claims against the reality star.
What Claims We Made About Shannon Beador
GettyPatrick McDonald, who worked on season 18 of “RHOC”, recently made allegations against Shannon Beador.
On Instagram last month, he accused Shannon of “yelling, screaming & cussing at the producers & crew” moments before filming. But when “the cameras turn on … she instantly clicks into this tired old performative schtick.”
He also called her one of the “most miserable & narcissistic housewives across the entire brand.”
Gina Kirschenheiter Defends Her Co-Star Against Allegations
GettyGina Kirschenheiter defended her co-star against these allegations, saying that was not her experience with Shannon.
“You know what? It’s hard for me to say because I only know my relationships with the producers,” she told Page Six. “I feel like if he’s referencing something, he’s referencing something from like a more private moment. I’ve not necessarily seen that.”
While Gina acknowledges that Shannon had lost her cool on camera, the reality star and realtor admits that there is always a good reason for her explosions of anger.
“Now have I seen Shannon have a moment? Yeah,” she says. “But … also, let’s look at what she’s gone through on this show. Do I justify it? Have I ever done it? No.”
The series McDonald worked on is season 18, which saw Beador filming with her ex-boyfriend John Janssen and his then-girlfriend and now-wife, Alexis Bellino.
“When she’s dealing with, like, she’s afraid that her ex’s feelings … and so she’s flipping out,” Gina recalled. “And they also showed all that, you know? So, that to me, what they’ve showed, what you’ve seen, is what I’ve seen.”
So where do Shannon and Gina stand now, after filming season 20 of the Bravo show? “I love Shannon. I love her,” Gina told the outlet.
Shannon Addressed The Producer’s Allegations Against Her

Shannon Beador herself recently addressed McDonald’s allegations during an appearance on Jamie Kennedy’s “Hate to Break It to Ya” podcast, insisting she was kind to the man during production of season 18.
“There’s a producer who worked one season on our show and it was Season 18 when I had to film with Alexis Bellino and people, here, if they know that I’m talking about,” she said.
The reality star denied his allegations, saying that she was “withdrawn” during that season and told McDonald: “I cooked you dinner and sent you home with a to-go pack.”
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with a new episode available to stream the next day on Peacock.
