The girlfriend of late actor James Handy is speaking publicly for the first time following the tragedy that has shaken her family.

Speaking with The California Post outside her home Friday morning, Wendy, Handy’s girlfriend and Michael’s mother, shared her heartbreak in the wake of the tragedy.
“I’m just trying to make it through one day at a time, a minute at a time,” she said.

The grieving mother became overwhelmed before ending the conversation.
What Authorities Say Happened
Authorities were called to a home in Tarzana on the morning of June 4 after receiving a troubling 911 call.
As per the Guardian, according to investigators, the caller allegedly told dispatchers, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”
When officers arrived at the residence, they found Handy suffering from multiple stab wounds. The actor was discovered unconscious and was later pronounced dead.
Police said Michael Gledhill remained at the scene and approached responding officers, identifying himself as the person involved in the incident. He was taken into custody without incident and has since been charged with murder.
Gledhill is currently being held on $2 million bail as the investigation continues.
Authorities have not yet released information about what may have led to the fatal encounter.
