Samantha Busch has spoken publicly for the first time since the death of her husband, NASCAR star Kyle Busch, sharing an emotional message of gratitude and grief as the family continues to mourn his sudden passing at the age of 41.
Samantha’s Heartbreaking Post
On Friday, June 5, Samantha posted a family photo to Instagram along with a heartfelt statement thanking fans, friends, and strangers for the overwhelming support they have received since the tragedy.
“As a family, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you,” she wrote.
She went on to describe how the outpouring of love has helped them cope during what she called the most heartbreaking days of their lives.
“The prayers, messages, flowers, meals, hugs, and countless acts of kindness have carried us through the most heartbreaking days of our lives. While our hearts are absolutely shattered, we have felt God’s presence and arms wrapped tightly around us through each and every one of you.”
Samantha said the support from the racing community and the public has brought comfort during a time of unimaginable pain.
“The love that has surrounded our family during this unimaginable time has brought comfort in the middle of so much pain. Knowing the impact Kyle had on others and seeing how they are honoring him through each unique act of generosity is a true testament to how special Kyle is to so many people.”
She acknowledged that grief has been overwhelming, but said moments of kindness continue to help carry them forward.
“There are moments when the weight of this loss feels impossible to carry, yet time and time again God, through you all, has shown us we are not alone.”
Samantha closed her message by directly thanking those who have reached out since the news broke.
“From family and friends to fans and complete strangers, thank you for showing up for us. Thank you for loving our family so well. Thank you for loving Kyle. Thank you for honoring him. We may never find the words to fully express what your support has meant to us, but please know that we are deeply grateful.”

Kyle Passed After Getting Pneumonia
The message comes after the family confirmed that Kyle Busch had died on May 23 following a sudden and severe medical emergency.
According to the family’s statement, he developed pneumonia that rapidly progressed into sepsis, leading to “rapid and overwhelming associated complications.”
The news sent shockwaves through the NASCAR community, where Busch was regarded as one of the sport’s most successful and recognizable figures.
Tributes from fellow drivers, teams, and fans have continued to pour in since his passing.
Busch had remained active on social media shortly before his death, including a post celebrating his son Brexton’s 11th birthday. In that message, he wrote, “Your mom & I are so proud of who you’re turning out to be!”
