Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home in the early morning hours of February 1. Now, nearly two months later, new details in her disappearance continue to come to light.
According to a new report, Guthrie—who lived alone in her Tucson, Arizona, home—hired electricians to do work on her house in January.
“An electrician’s work crew was in and around her home, and then she goes missing. That’s got to be investigated,” Nancy Grace said during the Wednesday, March 25, episode of her “Crime Stories With Nancy Grace.”
Electricians Were at Nancy Guthrie’s Home Days Before Her Kidnapping
Nancy Grace sat down with investigative reporter Dave Mack and security expert Brian Fitzgibbons in the Wednesday, February 25, episode of her “Crime Stories With Nancy Grace.” The trio discussed the latest developments in the Guthrie investigation, including new reports that the 84-year-old had electrical work done on her home in the days before her disappearance
“During the month of January, Nancy, security work was being done by an electrician inside Nancy Guthrie’s home,” Mack began. “An entire electrical panel had to be replaced, updated, and upgraded. That required some special tools, a couple of days of work. Don’t know how many people were on the electrician’s crew, but we know of at least one certainly, because that was the contract, and the work was finished just before Nancy Guthrie went missing.”
Grace was clearly unsettled by the revelation, telling Fitzgibbons, “I don’t like coincidences as it relates to disappearances or violent crimes.”
“Absolutely. They’re going to know the name of everybody associated with that account, and also really who knew that the work was being done at Mrs. Guthrie’s and who potentially could have known the connection to Savannah,” Fitzgibbons explained. “Who even saw the sales slip? Who even saw the work order? Everyone at that contractor will certainly be interviewed and looked at.”
Sheriff Walks Back Significance of January Dates
While it’s unclear exactly when the electrical work was conducted on Guthrie’s property, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos walked back the significance of a previously revealed date in January, which investigators believed to be important to the case.
“January 11th came to them from Google, as they’ve been helping to try to retrieve the Nest camera surveillance footage from Nancy’s doorbell camera,” NBC News’ Liz Kreutz explained in a video shared via Instagram on Monday, March 23. “Google owns Nest.”
She continued, “[Nanos] said that when Google was able to retrieve some of those surveillance images that we’ve all seen, Google came to them and said, ‘This particular image’—the one that doesn’t show the suspect wearing a backpack—’that we believe that was from January 11. There’s a possibility it was January 11.’”

Personally this has gotten ridiculous. I think Savannah Guthrie’s ratings were falling fast so she’s using the constant idiocy of law enforcement involved to boost her ratings
Idiots are everywhere
