In the original “13 Going on 30,” Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo played the iconic lead roles of Jenna Rink and Matty Flamhaff. This time around, those roles will be taken on by Emily Bader (“People We Meet on Vacation”) and Logan Lerman (“Oh, Hi!”), according to Deadline.

“’13 Going on 30′ is one of those rare, perfect films. Funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer,” Haley said in a statement. “I’m a longtime fan, so stepping into this reimagining comes with tremendous responsibility.”

The director continued, “Jennifer Garner being on board as an executive producer, after playing such a big part of what made the original special, is especially meaningful. I also couldn’t be more excited to reunite with Emily Bader after ‘People We Meet on Vacation.’ She and the amazingly talented Logan Lerman are a magical pairing. I feel incredibly lucky to be trusted with something that means so much to so many people.”

“13 Going on 30” follows the story of a 13-year-old girl, Jenna Rink, who magically wakes up as her 30-year-old self and must navigate adulthood while rediscovering who she really is.

During the February 26 episode of Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Garner made a shocking confession about the iconic rom-com film.

The actress admitted that she has not watched “13 Going on 30” all the way through since its premiere in April 2004.

“You know what’s weird? I haven’t watched it since the premiere in full,” Garner told Kelce.

Although she hasn’t watched the full movie, Garner clarified that she revisited certain scenes when needed.

“There have been times where I’ve had to talk about a certain scene or something, and so I’ve gone back and watched that scene, and I don’t know why I haven’t sat down to watch the whole thing,” the actress added.
