All About Hallmark Hall of Fame’s ‘Rose Hill’

“Rose Hill” is set in the late 1800s, where four young, New York City street kids save an abandoned baby girl and move to Montana to start a new life. Garner played Mary Rose Clayborne alongside Jeffrey D. Sams as Adam Clayborne, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Justin Chambers as Cole Clayborne, Zak Orth as Douglas Clayborne, and Tristan Tait as Travis Clayborne. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Casey Siemaszko, David Aaron Baker, and Stuart Wilson.

The film originally premiered on April 20, 1997 on CBS. It was directed by Christopher Cain and was written by Earl W. Wallace, who adapted the screenplay from the Claybornes of Rose Hill novels, which were written by author Julie Garwood. This film is based on the first novel in Garwood’s series, “For the Roses.”

Garner Remains an Early 2000s Icon

The actress first captured people’s hearts when she was cast as the lead in sci-fi thriller “Alias” where she played undercover spy Sydney Bristow. Her status as a household name was solidified by her starring role in the beloved romantic comedy “13 Going on 30.”

In an interview with Molly Sims, Garner revealed that “13 Going on 30” is one of her favorite roles to date. “I’m so defined by ’13 Going on 30.’ We were young and we were so excited, it was Judy Greer and Mark Ruffalo and me, and for all three of us it was the biggest paycheck we’d ever had, it was the biggest role we’d ever had and we just couldn’t believe it. We were all doing it together, and we loved our director,” said Garner.

The actress has since starred in dozens of iconic films, like “Daredevil,” “Elektra,” “Juno,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” and “Love, Simon.”
