“Day one, the FBI was involved in this case,” Nanos added. “And they continue to be involved in this case. Every single day.”

Nancy Guthrie Update: Sheriff Chris Nanos Says They’re Doing Exactly What They Need to Do

Aside from the FBI, Sheriff Chris Nanos said they’re also getting help from Arizona DPS and a handful of labs across the country in the Nancy Guthrie investigation.

“We continue to work with our labs,” Nanos noted. “Whether it’s on the digital end or the biological end, DNA.”

Sheriff Chris Nanos pointed out that labs are working diligently to separate and identify the different DNA samples found inside Guthrie’s house, reiterating that the process takes time.

“It moves at a snail’s pace, I guess for some,” Nanos said. “But for my investigative team, and for me, we look at this as, no, this is doing exactly what we need it to do.”

Sheriff Chris Nanos Says Nancy Guthrie Case is Far From Being Cold

Sheriff Chris Nanos shares updates on the Nancy Guthrie case.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said he is confident the perpetrator will be arrested soon, while also assuring the public that Nancy Guthrie’s abductor will be properly prosecuted.

“I believe, at some point in time, we will make an arrest on this case,” Nanos added. “And whoever that individual is, that individual will have a right to a fair and impartial trial.”

As for whether the case has gone cold, the sheriff insisted that it is far from it, given all the evidence investigators are still working through.

“There’s way too much work to be done, that is ongoing, with some of the physical evidence we have,” Nanos added. “And we’re not going to give up on it just because it’s been 100 days.”

Nanos also confirmed that authorities are withholding certain details about the Nancy Guthrie case from the public, and for good reason.

“Yes, absolutely there are. But it’s not done because we got to keep it secret,” he explained. “It’s done because we got to protect our case.”

Nanos continues to urge the public to call if they have information on Guthrie’s disappearance.

“We need you to call us,” Nanos stressed. “We know somebody out there knows what happened here.”

FBI Director Kash Patel Speaks Out

FBI Director Kash Patel speaks out about the Nancy Guthrie investigation.

Previously, FBI Director Kash Patel told Sean Hannity that the Sheriff’s department tried to keep the FBI out of the investigation for four days.

“The first 48 hours of anyone’s disappearance are the most critical,” Patel said in the May 5 episode of “Hang Out with Sean Hannity.” “It’s a state and local law enforcement matter. What we, the FBI, do is say, ‘Hey, we’re here to help. What can we do?’ And for four days, we were kept out of the investigation.”

Patel also revealed that FBI agents were on standby to transport the DNA evidence at any time, but noted that the decision ultimately rested with the sheriff’s department.

“We have Quantico, best lab in the world.” Patel added. “I had a fixed-wing aircraft on the ground, ready to move it immediately through the night. And they said we’re sending it to Florida. They have jurisdiction, so it’s their call.”

Nancy Guthrie was first reported missing in the early morning hours of February 1.
