The biggest night in Hollywood is almost here as the 2026 Oscars prepare to honor the best films and performances of the year. The 98th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 15, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Nominees across all 24 categories were announced in January during a live presentation in Los Angeles. Oscar-nominated actress Danielle Brooks and actor Lewis Pullman revealed the nominees, officially launching awards season’s final stretch.
Each category includes five nominees, except for best picture, which features 10 films competing for the industry’s top honor. The ceremony will once again be hosted by comedian and former late-night host Conan O’Brien, marking his second year leading the broadcast.
Ahead of the ceremony, several films and performances have emerged as potential favorites in major categories.
