RHOSLC star Bronwyn Newport is proving that her budding friendship with Rihanna is the real deal when she was seen stepping out with the “Diamonds” singer on Galentine’s Day, Feb. 13, in New York City.
The Instagram account @purepeople shared a video of the women stepping out together, with Newport walking just ahead of Rihanna. Dressed in a colorful floral trench, the reality star looks stunning amid the flashing lights, grabbing Rihanna’s arm as the cameras swarm them.
Rihanna, meanwhile, follows close behind in an all-black ensemble and dark sunglasses, seemingly unfazed by the paparazzi chaos, and appearing to reassure Newport with the claim, “I’m used to it by now.”

Speaking to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” the Housewife spilled that the songstress even slid into her DMs to share how much she enjoyed watching her, along with some advice for navigating the hectic world of a Real Housewife.
“I got the message that I had a message from Bad Gal Riri. I was like, ‘It’s obviously a fake. It can’t possibly be real.’ I open my DMs, and I see it’s real and verified. It’s her,” she began.
“I didn’t open the message for 48 hours. My husband was like, ‘Read what it says!’ He’s very involved,” she shared. Newport explained that she was nervous because after opening the message, she knew it would say “read,” and had no idea what to respond to the global superstar.
“I had to gear up for it. Then, I wrote her back, and she wrote me back instantaneously,” she told the hosts. “I’m very grateful she’s DMed me. She’s very sweet to me. She has opinions on Salt Lake City, she has opinions on me.”
Newport shared that Rihanna “used the terms bestie and soulmate,” then joked, “So I care zero about the other women in Salt Lake City, I have Rihanna now.”
In fact, fans remember that Newport made quite the iconic first impression during her debut season, arriving to meet the women in a $15,000 Saint Laurent red heart-shaped fur coat, the very same statement piece previously worn by Rihanna.
