Paparazzi cameras captured a scary moment when the double doors at the Four Seasons in NYC nearly slammed shut on Rihanna as she exited the building around January 18, 2026.
The Barbadian beauty was accompanied by a bodyguard, but he seemed to momentarily forget his client was behind him. “Such a gentleman you are,” she quipped after making it safely through the doors after they almost smacked into her.
Rihanna’s fans stood up for her in the comments of a Complex post that showed the shocking moment. One wrote, “A celeb of her caliber this is unacceptable!” Someone else joked, “That’s it, she needs Cynthia Erivo for the job,” referencing the way the “Wicked” star is known to often take protective stances over Ariana Grande, such as when Grande was accosted by an infamous troublemaking fan who grabbed her during a red carpet event.

Soon after the alarming near-accident at the Four Seasons, Rih and Rocky went to El Puerto Seafood together. The “Problems” rapper braved the plunging temps in a camo puffer over an army green hoody which he paired with bleached baggy denim.
Rihanna wore a light denim jacket with medium wash jeans which she adorned with a low-slung silver belt. The jeans covered the top of her feet as her pointy-toed tiger print pumps peeked out from beneath, but later she cuffed the jeans.
The superstar singer turned beauty mogul accessorized with a pair of oversized shades, and circled a plush white scarf around her neck.
A$AP Rocky Recently Talked About Long Album Wait & Parenting With Rihanna
In a recent appearance on the New York Times pop culture podcast “Popcast,” Rocky explained why he took so long to release another album. He dropped his first release in 8 years, “Don’t Be Dumb,” on January 16.
On the podcast, the 37-year-old explained, “I just always said to myself, like, I ain’t going to rush it, man. I thought I was ready in 2024. I thought the court case was going to be done, that kept getting pushed back. And it was just kind of hard to really focus, you know what I mean? Not only that, me being a parent played a big part. I want to be there. I want to be present. I want to be supportive. And all of these different instances is what gave me new material to talk about.”
The “court case” Rocky mentioned culminated in a February 2025 trial in which he was acquitted of shooting at former associate A$AP Relli. If found guilty, he could have faced up to 24 years in prison, and prosecutors were reportedly seeking 8.
Speaking on what he learened from the ordeal, Rocky said he previously felt “compelled to take on everybody’s issues.” He went on, “I kept being supportive of just nonsense, no good people. I think this was God’s way of showing me, you’ve got to cut it off. And when I cut it off, this was their way of pulling me back in.”
In the interview, he also gushed about his affection for Rihanna, saying, “I got with a very special woman” and calling himself “the most happily coupled up man in rap.”
