The Singer’s Nephew Formally Announced Her Passing This Afternoon

Dolly Parton’s family broke the heartbreaking on social media this afternoon. Her nephew addressed fans in a video, formally announcing that she had passed away.

“My family and I have shared a lifetime of beautiful memories with Dolly,” her nephew shared. “But so have you. She has always been on your television, your record player, your CD and on your phone’s playlist, becoming an extended part of your family whether you liked it or not.”

Dolly had been privately battling cancer. But nevertheless, she was always a beacon of light and joy for her fans.
