Dorit Kemsley is hopeful about her future relationship with Kyle Richards. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star shared new details on her fractured friendship on Sirius XM’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa” podcast. In the episode set to drop on June 2, Kemsley admitted that she has not had any communication with Richards since the RHOBH Season 15 reunion taping in March, but still believes there is a path forward.
“Listen, I’m very hopeful,” Kemsley told host Kelly Ripa. “I would love to see Kyle and I be able to get to a place that we really can put our differences aside or hash it out, whichever. And I thought we were going into the season, really, I thought we were going in that place. I think that if both people want to, there’s always room for making up and making things better.”
Dorit Kemsley Felt Sad After the RHOBH Reunion Taping
BravoKemsley and Richards were close friends during earlier seasons of RHOBH, but things began to go downhill after both women separated from their husbands and accused the other of not being supportive of their struggles. Kemsley was noticeably distant toward Richards during Season 15 and leaned more on new friend Bozoma Saint John. Nothing improved when they all reconvened at the reunion taping.
On the podcast, Kemsley told Ripa, “When I step out and I think about it, I felt, after the reunion I had such a heavy heart, like really truly heavy. It felt like I had been run over by a truck. So wrought with emotions and upset and angry and fighting, and you’re caught up in the moment.”
“And it’s the pressure of life on top of it that gets to you, combined with you’re in this environment where you feel like the people that you want to be supportive of you the most. If they aren’t, you feel almost like you’ve gotta battle it out with them,” she continued. “And when you take a step back and, the dust settles and you really… you’re not thinking about an individualized or an isolated moment, you’re thinking about the friendship as a whole, the moments, and of course all of the history, the memories, the moments we’ve had, we’ve shared, the laughs, the love, and there’s so much love. It’s like you, you just think, ‘What? Why on earth did this happen? Why are we here? Why are we fighting? Why is this happening?’ It just, it doesn’t make sense.”
Kyle Richards Also Has Hopes for Her Relationship With Dorit Kemsley
While the RHOBH Season 15 finale ended with Richards vowing to walk away from negative friendships, ahead of the reunion taping, she was optimistic about her future with Kemsley.
“I would hope that there’s been enough time that has passed that Dorit’s in a better place, that she’s taken the time that she needs, and that she would be open to mending things,” Richards said on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.”
Richards also appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” and said she believed the friendship could be rekindled. “I do think I can repair with Dorit. I love her very much even though we’re not speaking right now,” Richards said in early 2026. “I love her family; I want the best for her. And once you love someone like that and have a true friendship, I think there’s always room to repair.”
