With the success of Bravo’s “Next Gen NYC,” which follows the children of “Real Housewives” stars like Gia Giudice, Brooks Marks, Riley Burruss, and Ariana Biermann, rumors have been swirling about a similar spinoff set in Los Angeles.
In February, Us Weekly confirmed that “Next Gen LA” was officially in the works, and even teased a few names that might be starring on the show, including RHOC star Heather Dubrow’s son, Nick Dubrow. Heather only fueled those rumors in a recent Instagram post where she was seen “passing the torch” to her son.
Heather Dubrow Shares Playful Video With Son Nick Teasing a Reality TV Role
Heather Dubrow is ready to pass the reality TV torch to her eldest son, Nick Dubrow. In an April Instagram post, Heather teased his potential future in the spotlight with a playful clip. It begins with Heather shaking hands with someone, as a caption on the screen reads: “Mom who started RHOC almost 15 years ago.”
The video then reveals the mystery person as her son Nick, who smiles back at her as a second caption appears: “Son who is just starting his journey and has no idea what to expect.” The exchange seemed to hint that Nick may be stepping into the world of reality TV, perhaps without fully realizing the drama that often comes with it.
“Something fun is coming … 👀💃🏻 Passing the torch to @nickdubrow … who knew he’d love doing what I do ?!?!!!” The RHOC star’s caption teased.
Dubrow First Teased Her Son’s Reality TV Future in January
According to RealityTea, Heather first hinted that Nick might be following in his mom’s footsteps when she shared a photo on Instagram Stories of herself and her son with a camera crew behind them in January. She captioned the image, “Hmmmmmmmm this should be interesting …”
Fans have watched Nick and his three siblings grow up on RHOC when Heather joined the cast from seasons 7-11. She later rejoined the group of women in season 16.
Before what looks like a career in reality TV, in August 2024, Heather shared that Nick was pursuing a career in real estate, having interned for the Altman brothers, who specialize in luxury properties in California, known for starring in Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.”
“He’s so good with people,” she told Bravo. “I really can see him in Hollywood, I can see him in hospitality, real estate, you know, lots that he could do.”
In fact, Nick made an appearance on a season 15 episode of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” where he worked as an intern at The Altman Brothers.
The ‘Real Housewives’ Kids Set to Star on ‘Next Gen LA’
GettyUs Weekly confirmed in February that filming was underway for “Next Gen LA” and even hinted at the “Real Housewives” children that where slated to star in the new spinoff.
Besides Nick, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s daughter, Sophia Umansky, was spotted “filming for a sizzle reel” at a Los Angeles nightclub for the show.
The outlet also reported that former RHOBH star Camille Grammer’s daughter, Mason Grammer, will also be joining the series. Mason’s father is actor Kelsey Grammer.
Former RHOBH star Adrienne Maloof and RHOA star Cynthia Bailey also confirmed that their children were approached to star in the new show.
