Kelsey Grammer — best known for hits like “Cheers,” “Frasier,” and a brief stint as Camille Grammer’s husband on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” — welcomed his 8th child, a bouncing baby boy named Christopher, at the end of October. The star, who’s 70, now shares four kids with his wife, Kayte Walsh, and told People that his latest round of fatherhood has been “awesome and fantastic. The family’s ecstatic. We’re all really having a great time. It’s really lovely.” Grammer and Walsh first met in 2009 on a flight to London where she was working as a flight attendant and he was a passenger. They got engaged in late 2010 and then married in February 2011.
Grammer and Benjamin Hollingsworth, who co-star in the holiday movie “Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring,” bonded on set over parenthood. Hollingsworth told People, “We had talks about being a dad and it’s crazy, but he welcomed his eighth child just this year. So, he’s got a newborn at home. I was giving him lots of crap about that.”
Welcome to the World, Christopher!
GettyWhile a guest on an episode of Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong’s “Pod Meets World” podcast, Grammer announced Christopher’s joyful entry into the world. Christopher joins Grammer and Walsh’s kids: Faith, Gabriel, and James, as well as Grammer’s children from his previous relationships: Spencer, Greer, Mason, and Jude. With one extra highchair around the dinner table this Christmas, Grammer is excited to introduce his newborn son to his favorite family traditions, such as prime rib, Yorkshire puddings, and mint sauce. Though maybe this December, Christopher will have to stick to formula.
Benjamin Hollingsworth’s Christmas
GettyHollingsworth, on the other hand, is looking forward to spending the holidays with his own family — a wife and three children — in Vancouver. And while Grammer is trimming the tree and setting the table for a small army, Hollingsworth intends to dress up as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. He told People, “I’ll put on this little harness and basically do my best Rudolph impression and I’ll snow shoe.”
So, whether one is spending the holidays knee-deep in little ones, or dressed up as a beloved caribou, it’s absolutely certain that both festivities will be one for the books!
