NBC is kicking off September with a fresh lineup of new series, returning fan favorites, and must-watch live sports. The month will see the return of “The Voice” for its landmark 30th season, while “The Traitors: New Blood” and “Line of Fire” will make their debuts.
Sports programming will also take center stage, with NFL kickoff games and “Sunday Night Football” among the highlights. Here’s everything coming to NBC this September.
The 2026 Emmy Awards
Great American FamilyThe 78th Primetime Emmy Awards is set to air on Monday, September 14 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on NBC and simulcast on Peacock.
“Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay will host this year’s event, which will take place at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.
“Bringing important stories into the light has been the heartbeat of my career,” Hargitay said in a statement. “It’s my great honor to host the 78th Emmy Awards — in the 100th birthday year of my beloved NBC — and celebrate this extraordinary community of storytellers. ‘The Traitors: New Blood’
“The Traitors: New Blood” will premiere on Thursday, September 17 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. The reality competition gets a special two-hour extended premiere. Two more back-to-back episodes are premiering on September 24.
New episodes will continue to air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.
‘The Voice’
“The Voice” returns for its milestone 30th season on Monday, September 21 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. Carson Daly returns as host, while Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green serve as coaches.
Prior to the premiere, “The Voice 30th Season Celebration” will air on Thursday, September 17 from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on NBC.
‘Line of Fire’
NBC is adding a new drama to its fall lineup with “Line of Fire,” premiering Monday, September 21, from 10 to 11 p.m. ET. The series centers on a family of law enforcement agents who become entangled in a volatile case.
“Line of Fire” stars Peter Krause, Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom, and Charlie Barnett.
‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 21 Finale, Part 2 (Results Show)
The results show of “America’s Got Talent” Season 21 Finale is airing on Wednesday, September 23 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
Kenan Thompson will temporarily replace Simon Cowell as he recovers from a medical procedure. During the August 25 episode, host Terry Crews explained Cowell’s absence on the show.
“He’s having an operation that cannot be postponed,” Crews said. “It’s not an emergency, but it can’t be put off. Simon, we are sending you our very best wishes for speedy recovery, and we’re looking forward to seeing you back at the Judges desk very soon.”
NFL
The NFL season kicks off on NBC with a game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, September 9 from 8:20 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET. It’ll be followed by the NFL Preview Special on Friday, September 11 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
