Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have not called off their separation, despite looking like a couple while celebrating New Year’s Eve together in Aspen, Colorado.
In January 2026, an insider told Us Weekly that the exes, who have been separated since July 2023, have not gotten back together—and probably won’t.
“They are not getting back together or rekindling their romance,” the insider claimed of the longtime “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” couple. “[There’s] still so much love between them. …They are genuinely friends right now and still have so much fun together. They have been loving towards one another, but that doesn’t mean they are getting back together.”
The source also alleged that the former couple’s daughters—Farrah, 37. Alexia, 29, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 17— “aren’t pushing” a rekindled romance for their parents.
“Of course, it would be great if they called off their separation, but the family knows it’s most likely not going to happen,” the insider added.
Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky Reportedly Looked Like a Couple on New Year’s Eve
Richards, 56, and Umansky, 55, sparked buzz after being spotted looking cozy over the holidays. Their daughter Sophia posted a video of the two hanging out together at the family’s Aspen home. “My parents watching their little movie and eating their little popcorn on the floor like little kids,” Sophia captioned the video.
Soon after, Page Six reported that Richards and Umansky appeared to be “together” at Kate Hudson’s New Year’s Eve party in Aspen. “They were really enjoying one another’s company,” an insider alleged. “They had their arms around one another and were very touchy and warm with one another all night.
The source added, “They were very obviously together and wanting to spend the party by one another’s side. If you didn’t know they had split up, you would presume they were still happily married.”
Kyle Richards Said She Is No Longer Afraid of Being Alone
BravoRichards previously admitted she was worried about being alone after ending her nearly 30-year marriage to Umansky. Speaking on the RHOBH Aftershow in early January, she revealed, “What scared me the most about being separated at first was being alone. ‘Am I going to be alone one day?’ Or, ‘As I get older, am I going to be all alone?’”
Richards added that she is no longer worried about finding a life partner and lives by the mantra “whatever will be will be.”
“I like this feeling that I have right now, that I’m no longer afraid of that. And there’s a security in knowing just, like, if that happens, it happens,” the RHOBH OG said.
