Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman announced their decision to separate in September 2024, after 26 years of marriage. In a statement via the fashion designer’s Instagram, she shared (via People), “After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage. We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together.”
Nearly a year later, Zoe filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and asked to share joint custody of their two sons. Since separating from Berman, Zoe has been incredibly open about the next chapter in her life, both on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and in interviews, including her views on dating again and even getting married.
Rachel Zoe Calls Dating ‘Really Fun’ After Her Separation From Rodger Berman
GettyRachel Zoe is having “really fun” dating again after her separation from her husband, Rodger Berman, in 2024. Speaking with Interview magazine, published on March 5, the “Real Housewives” star shared, “But also, I don’t ‘need a man’ for traditional reasons. I’m financially independent. I’m socially independent. I have my kids. So for me, it’s like, ‘Let’s enjoy life.”
Zoe even revealed that she is “definitely spending time with guys who are younger,” noting that she enjoys being with “mostly creative, energetic, deep-souled people who I connect to.”
Speaking to People in December 2025, Zoe admitted that dating again was “incredibly fun,” adding, “To be honest, that wasn’t hard for me to get into. It really wasn’t.”
“Anyone who comes into my life or our lives is only going to be someone that adds value in terms of making me laugh, making me smile and really just making sense. It’ll have to feel organic and natural to who I am now,” she said, referencing her two sons.
Zoe Admits She’s Open to the Possibility of Getting Married Again
GettyIn the same conversation with Interview magazine, the fashion designer also said she wasn’t opposed to walking down the aisle again.
When speaking about her past exes and recent separation from Berman, Zoe said, “I had quite a few before I got married, and now I have a big ex-husband. We were married for 26 years and I can’t have any regrets because we had a great love story. It didn’t end the way it should, but I would get married again if I fell in love with someone and it meant a lot to them.”
As of this writing, Zoe’s divorce from Berman is not yet finalized, but in a February appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” she shared, “But it will be soon.” When asked by the host if their divorce is going “amicably,” she revealed, “Yeah, it is because ultimately we want what’s best for the kids.”
