Police responded to a call at his residence in the early hours of Wednesday, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department confirmed the details in a statement obtained and published by Variety.

“On April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation,” the department said.

A Fan Favorite on ‘Storage Wars’

Sheets became a familiar and memorable presence on “Storage Wars,” appearing in more than 160 episodes and building a strong connection with viewers over the years.

After stepping away from the series following Season 12, he returned briefly, rejoining the show in Season 13 in 2021 and continuing as a buyer through Seasons 14 and 15.

Beyond the series, Sheets also made appearances on late-night and daytime television, extending his reach beyond the auction floor and further shaping his place in popular culture.

Health Struggles and Life Beyond Television

In recent years, Sheets had been open about his health challenges. In 2019, he revealed that he had been hospitalized after being “sick for three months” and suffering a “mild heart attack.”

“I have congestive heart failure and a severe issue going on with my lung,” he shared at the time, as reported by People.

Following surgery, he offered an update one month later, saying his heart was “back up to 40%” and that he no longer needed a defibrillator vest.

“However, I’m not out of the woods yet as my heart is only at 40%, but my spirits never got down, and my faith is even stronger,” he said.

Despite these challenges, Sheets remained active and focused on new ventures, including launching his business “Show Me Your Junk” in Havasu, Arizona, in 2023.

Family, Relationships, and Personal Life

Sheets was a devoted father to his two children, Brandon and Tiffany, and often offered small, heartfelt glimpses into his life beyond television.

Over the years, his relationships also reflected the personal connections he valued. He was previously engaged to Romney Snyder and later shared a new chapter with Patty Rich.

While his current relationship status remained private, he continued to express warmth toward his former wife, Kimber Wuerfel, whom he divorced in 2016.

“Please join me in wishing Kimber a very Happy Birthday @Kimber Howell Wuerfel on the lords Day also Happy Birthday Babe love you more than you know,” he wrote in December 2023, a message that reflected the lasting bond they shared.

Our hearts go out to Sheets’ family, friends, and the many fans who loved and supported the beloved reality TV star.
